No sales yet, what am i doing wrong

Hi everyone, i’m new to Folksy, was on awhile ago and struggled to get it going so left for awhile, now i’m back, and i really want to get this going. Sell on other platforms successfully, but i’m not sure where i’m going wrong on here. I aim to want to put 10 listings on a day for ahile so to grow , but how do i reach new customers. Using the social media. any tips how you got yours going and any tips on my listings

welcome back to folksy.
As a fellow artist, come and join us on the art chat thread…the more you join in on different threads, the more your name will get known and people will look in your shop. There is also a facebook folksy page where you can show your listings.
I have favourited your shop for you as well.
This is only a personal thing but I don’t sell prints because to me, you could buy those in shops or cut pictures from magazines.
I am not saying “don’t list them” but try to list as many originals as you can because people like to buy original work.
There is also a daily listing thread on here but you have to list something new every day (with prints you might be able to do that !) and you also have to promise to go to each person;s daily listing, go to that page and LIKE it…it takes a lot of time and work, but then they do the same for you and the more LIKES you get the more chance of getting on the home page where visitors will see your work. Since I have joined the daily listing my sales have sky rocketed…but you have to play fairly and do all the likings…
Hope some of that helps…see you on the art chat thread?

You say you are using social media but where?
The link to you Facebook page does not work so I would check that out, but I did find you on Facebook. I could find no reference at all to your Folksy shop, only Etsy. If you don’t point people at Folksy then no one will know you are here and will go where you are sending them and that’s Etsy.
You have some lovely work in your shop, but you cannot rely on passing trade, you must promote your Folksy shop if you want it to work. I promote every day either Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and occasionally on Instagram. I also get involved in promotional threads on this forum.

Hi
I am new here too, just a week, so we can be newbies together.
The forums here are really useful and friendly. The established artists here have suggested that prints may not do as well as original works, so I have taken that on board and listed more originals. I see that the sales you have made have been originals. I have had more success with originals too, mainly through galleries, so all the evidence points to this being good advice.
Social media is a bit of a mystery to me too, but I use “Pinterest” a lot. it is very visual and you can post all sorts of things that are relevant to your art without bombarding everyone with a hard sell.
If you follow this link, https://talk.folksy.com/t/shop-folksy-artists-and-crafters-pinterest-board/16978/20 and join in the discussion, you can be invited to collaborate on a shared Folksy pinterest board.
My own work is quite niche so I don’t underestimate how difficult it might be to direct the right traffic to my page, but I am working on it.
I have liked your page ( I genuinely like your work). I will go to your Facebook page and do the same there too. It really can’t do any harm to promote each other’s work any where we can.
Good luck.

Hi - your shop is delightful and really attractive and I think your prints should sell really well. I’ve favourited your shop and a few of your things. I personally use social media a lot. I put everything I make on my Facebook page and on Instagram and Twitter and Pinterest. I belong to various craft groups too. I find that this works for me. Just keep persevering - you have good products and an attractive shop - just get yourself out there so that people know what you do and welcome to Folksy - it’s a great place to sell.

I think your work is lovely too and have favourited a few things. You could also try selling cards of the badgers and foxes too.

Bebes Arts Love your shop, welcome.

Hi @bernadettecoventry just wanted to say that your paintings are absolutely beautiful!
