Thanks for that I’ll give that a good looking at.Thanks again
You are welcome x
Also take a look at Susan Betty Art…she hasn;t been on folksy for very long and already last week she sold 4 paintings…she is on a lot of the forums and has sold a lot of her art to other folksy shop owners…
Thank you for your help. I never understand what you should put in the heading and in the comments. It’s all so confusing. However, i shall try putting the shop links in the comments only and see what happens. I tried to change the WhatsApp button to shop now but it wouldn’t accept the link to Folksy?? Don’t know why? I’m know I should be doing reels/videos but still trying to figure it out, I’m getting there I think. Thank you for taking the time to reply, every little helps
Hi All,
Have found all the advice very helpful, one quick question hope not a daft one, but if you put your shop name in the search bar, as opposed to items, I’ve noticed my shop name doesn’t come up.
Is this how it works, that you can only search for items, rather than your whole shop?
Feedback greatly appreciated, as at the moment it seems I can’t tell friends etc to look on my shop, without them having to wade through all the other shops items, to have a look and give an opinion as a customer.
Tips greatly appreciated.
Thanks Lynn
You can search for items or a shop. You just need to click on where it says items and it changes to shop and when it does you can search for a shop name. Hope that helps.
Hi Julie,
Your an absolute star thank you, I’ve had look and would not have seen that, thank you so much
Lynn
Thank you!
I hadn’t seen or knew that either - brilliant!
I tend to add my my name as a tag on all items too, that way I pop up no matter how I’m searched.
Hi Deborah,
Yes thanks, I’ve done that too now and just set up and linked my Instagram account to my shop.
I’ll look out for you and follow you if ok, need to increase my follows now which I’m working on.
Never thought of adding my name as a tag. What a good idea!
Thank you Carolee I have now sorted this, It would be great if you could take a look and let me know what you think. Many thanks.
Amanda
Just had a look at your shop to see if I could help and notice that every listing is prefixed “free postage” - almost as if you are saying that is the most important thing about what you are trying to sell.
By all means add it to the title but at the end not the beginning or even not in the title at all but mention it in the description. Honestly I would find that prefix most off-putting when I was looking for something unique and lovingly handcrafted.
After all there is no such thing as free postage. Somebody pays for it somewhere and in your case it is you… (and 7.2% on top as you will pay Folksy fees on the postage element.)
Joy xx
Thank you Joy, I saw it on someone elses post a few week back and I liked it but I have been wondering about it. Your feedback was really appreciated, I have changed all the headings. Many thanks.
Good look with your shop and your dreams xxxxx
Thank you for reading and for your help.
Looking much better now.
I agree with Joy I hate to see free postage in the title. To me looks cheap. I charge postage and refund if combined over charges. Have had people compliment me on proper postage charges as Joy said it is not free.
Good luck.
