I’m trying to kickstart my shop ready for the silly season by paying for an ad on Facebook
Had one click so far.
Would be interested to know if anyone gets it in their feed. BUT please don’t click the link just to experiment as it costs me money each time anyone clocks.
Not showing on mine Joy.
Not yet on mine either.
It’s not a boosted post on my page. Ie the post does not appear on my page at all. This is done via my business page ad manager.
It will appear in people’s feeds according to the audience I have selected so you may or may not see it and I think it will be tagged ‘sponsored ad’
Not done one quite like this before ,experimenting.
Interested to know if and when anyone does
But of course what I am aiming for is to reach new customers, customers who don’t know me, here on Folksy or otherwise. So if nobody reading this on this forum sees it that is probably good news.
Ooh just been notified two people hitherto unknown to me have liked my ad.
Ps this how you can see a Facebook page is running paid ads… it’s in their ‘about’ info.
It doesn’t show for boosted post which is why I am experimenting with a proper ad. Doesn’t cost me any more but gives me better feedback on effectiveness.
If you look at the about info on any Facebook business page you can see if they run paid ads or not
So a couple of weeks ago I had a FB / IG paid Ad and I had several sales, made it to 23 in the BS list. So £20 well spent.
Not a bean since, views dropped and dropping daily.
What a difference from this date 2017 ( just popped up as a memory on my FB page).
Ps. I was not running or paying for any promotion.
Whatever Folksy were doing then and are not doing now I wish they would restore it.
Thought you might be interested it what I had to sell to make Best Seller 1 on 16th October 2017.
11 orders totally £251.50 but £322.40 including postage which I believe is taken into account for BS.
Now If I could only work out why I had 11 orders in that week 6 years ago and none same week this year… ???
