I can feel my nose itching

Been out in the garden, in the sunshine today looking for some inspiring flowers. Found these, then back to the workshop to photograph them for future use. As usual i have no idea what they are.

Was there a garlic smell in the area Michael? @MichaelTerryArtisanJewellery

It’s raining now but when the sun shines tomorrow I will have a sniff. Very interesting, I love garlic.

I meant to come back yesterday & post the link to what I found:

This ivy is growing all over the wall at the bottom of my gardens. Look at the perfect geometry.

Another new find in the garden this morning. This beauty is growing in the rhubarb patch. We haven’t planted it. I am beginning to wonder whether we are sharing this garden with someone or something else. Whatever, I hope it doesn’t stop.

A lily pond is a magical world all of its own making. The hours I have spent sitting on the bank just watching the comings and goings of this small yet precious world I cannot count.

This is the most valuable item and most loved in my workshop. I have had it for 39 years. It cost me nothing. An art shop, in the New Forest, was closing down and this was a window display. I offered to buy it but was offered it for nothing. This is my monument to arts and crafts.

As well as its famous battle, Hastings is the home of the largest inshore fishing fleet in England. It is an emotional experience to see these fishermen come home after a night’s fishing. Beaching their fishing boats, cleaning and sorting their catch, then making their boats safe and ready for the next night’s work.

Low tide. There is a clue in this pic as to where it was taken. For one point: ‘where was it taken?’
