Bulk edit shipping dates & shop announcements

This is a query and asking for advice too.
Has there been any progress for the introduction of the bulk editing for shipping dates feature?
I’ve left my shop open for Christmas, given that I now have 1 digital item, the gift voucher - everything else has to be physically sent. The trouble is, because it is open, people are free to order and they’re ALL set at dispatch within 3 days. With the postal strike, we are now way beyond normal Royal Mail sending out for Christmas dates, so I would’ve liked to change them all to longer. In my Shop Annoucement, I said I won’t be posting after 13th December but will start again on 28th. However, someone ordered something last night and my notification says 3 days, as it would. If he hasn’t separately looked at my Shop announcement, will that have been included in anything he has received as an automated response? As a precaution, I sent him an email explaining that I won’t be posting out till 28th, so if he wasn’t aware of the strike situation and wanted it for Christmas, he wouldn’t get it and would he like a refund? No response so far but is there anything else I could’ve done.
Sorry it’s such a complicated query but there’s a few awkwards bits in this - sod’s law, first time I haven’t closed my shop for Christmas and this happens in a strike year!!!

Unfortunately no change on bulk editing times so far.
What you’ve done seems perfect though. The confirmation emails that are automatically sent out don’t adjust for the specific timing on your listings, it just says the Folksy default of 3 days, but some items may take longer.
As long as you’re clear in your shop announcement, the customer should see it before buying (and Folksy will be ok with that as they know it’s difficult to update every listing for short times without bulk editing), and the email to buyer makes sure they’re aware and gives a solution in case they didn’t see.

One thought - you might just want to add a little note on the announcement that the gift vouchers will still be emailed during this time to make it absolutely clear they can still be bought for Christmas (some people simply stop posting for Christmas, others take a complete break from their shop/answering emails). You might also want to add a gift voucher collection or bring it to the top of your shop for the next week so it’s easy for anyone to find (or make sure you’ve only got 3 items featured so the gift voucher will always show).

Thanks Kim, will do as you advise. The customer did read his email and did get back to me - he was fine with the after Christmas despatch so that was a relief!
