Fantastic! I guess I’m just trying to understand who are Folksy customers? What demographics, interests etc… do you know if Folksy have done any research on this?
Your Paris chess set is awesome - no wonder you don’t want to post it!
Hi Camilla, @folksycontent , @gorlech on this thread has just posed an interesting question.
Do Folksy know the demographics of buyers using the site? Could that be helpful to us sellers, or is it sort of sensitive information (as you would obviously not want to discourage sellers of less popular items)
Many thanks, Petra.
Thankyou Claire.
Hi Andy @twistedturner if you want to learn about handmade item photography I highly recommend Amy.takes.pictures on I started and YouTube. Her tutorials and FREE advise is amazing on how to get stuff on here and any social media looking great and its practical so you can watch and learn not just read and hope for best. Hope it helps and I still love my ring box btw
Thanks for the tip, I will have a look later when chilling with a cold beer, glad you like the box, that does mean a lot.
Hi, I love your shop and products and I’m sure they’ll do well on Folksy. Unfortunately I have had only 3 sales in 5 years on Folksy and I don’t know why, I’m just perservering with it. I am on Instagram (@onedayinmaydesign) but not on Facebook but it doesn’t seem to be helping. I guess posting on here so we can support each other is helpful but good luck! love Melanie
Thanks Melanie, for your kind words and taking the time to comment. The more and more I try to find out ‘what works’ the more confused I become (maybe thats just me ). Your designs look great, the shop looks cohesive and your prices are good. So I don’t understand why only 3 sales in 5 years… I’m not sure about Instagram either, but I think that I’m just not very good at doing it. Yet! I too will keep persevering! Good luck xx
Just had a look at your shop and it looks really good. 3 sales, there is no rhyme or reason
