Or just me? I sell something nearly every day on the other place but here is so so slow. It’s very discouraging.
Yep. If it doesn’t pick up by next year, I may be saying a sad and regretful adios to Folksy. Much as I love the community, my sales have reduced to zero since a slow start. Had my best September ever in one of my shops on the other side though! Let’s hope it will pick up nearer Christmas as people are still getting back on their feet after covid and looking forward to spending Christmas together. Here’s hoping!
Yes, very slow for me too. Only sold 1 card on here last month, and nothing since then. I keep promoting my Folksy shop on Instagram, so keeping my fingers crossed that it picks up.
I also get regular sales over on the other side!
Hi, I am relatively new - joined June and have no other online shops - and I have had one sale to another lovely Folksy seller since been here! I keep reading its very slow for everyone, and know personally I need to promote more - I have done a Folksy Friday board each week since joining - but I too am hoping it picks up a bit heading towards Christmas for us all!
Yes, it has slowed right down for me too, quieter than July/August, when I had hoped that it would start picking up. I have been listing like mad too!

This is the quietest I’ve ever known it in 10 years. Does anyone have any good ideas to try? I’m doing the usual things like Folksy Friday, the forums, I have a Facebook page, dabble with Instagram a little, but nothing to show for it. I haven’t been listing very regularly as we are renovating a house at the moment so not much time or energy for sewing, but I don’t know what to try next.
I am yet to sell anything!
When you say that you sell more on the other online Marketplace, would that be in the Uk or abroad?
Same for me too @plumporridge quietest ever year for my 11 years here as well…
Knitting needles are crossed for it to get busier for us all here (my other side shop is doing fine).

Same for me. I’ve been here about 7 years now and it’s the quietest I’ve known it for this time of year. My sales usually start to take off mid September but I only had a couple of sales last month and nothing so far in October. I haven’t been quite as active as I usually am but I’m still listing and promoting weekly.
I hope it picks up soon for everyone…
I’ll include all the shops above on my #folksyfriday today. Will share later. xxx
Well it seems we can all take some small comfort in that it appears a lot of us are in the same boat, and it’s not necessarily anything we’re doing wrong. Wishing everyone a visit from the sales fairy soon, and let’s keep our chins up!
I’ve posted on Facebook and IG just now with links to all the items and tags where I could find them.xxx
Thank you @plumporridge x
Thank you @plumporridge

Same for me too. Unfortunately I have just decided to discontinue my Plus account and will consider whether to continue on Folksy next year. Such a shame. The other side is doing reasonably well although that is still quieter than last year.
Yes, me too. But my sales at craft fairs are up.
There also seem to be a lot more craft fairs around this year, so I wonder if people are trying to support their local makers & are buying in person rather than the impersonal online purchases.
I always tell people at the craft fairs that I also have an online shop but they aren’t using it either. They are coming back to craft fair month after month.
Thank you so much for including me!
Thank you so much @plumporridge

Thank you!
I suspect that at this moment in time it is all to do with the scare stories coming directly from our press and media which warns us we will soon have no money left… Give it a few days until the latest wave of panic has passed …
