Celebrate your Folksy friends for National Best Friend Day on Sunday 8th June! 💕

Did you meet a good pal through Folksy? Maybe you started chatting on the forum or Facebook group and that led to crafty coffee mornings and catch ups? Or maybe you were at a craft market together and discovered that you both had shops on Folksy?

We would love to hear your stories of friendship. Share them in this thread and don’t forget to tag your Folksy friend!

We would also love it if you could share one item from your friend’s Folksy shop, which we’ll feature in a special National Best Friend Day gift guide. Copy and paste the item link in your comment.

I haven’t met anyone from Folksy in the manner you describe above…but I have had a friendly chat with two other Folksy sellers here on Folksy. I hope that counts, so I am posting a link for an item from their shops…

Sadly I’ve not met anyone in the flesh from Folksy, but I spend a lot of time chatting on the forums and there’s quite a few people I feel that I know. It’s also inspired me to check out their shops which has (of course!) led to purchases!

I have made lots of friends on Folksy…been here for 15 years now.
One of them was already a friend from my craft fair days Pam Jones @PamelaJonesArtStudio

and another came here a few times to chat all things art/craft related. This lovely lady has also been to my house to help fix some broken jewellery Max @MaxPringJewellery …a lovely lady.

On the daily challenge thread I chat almost daily with the regulars and feel that they are all my friends.
Some have been on the thread for a long time and we have all followed the good and bad times that they have been through.
I do hope that in the future I might be lucky enough to meet some other Folksy sellers…my kettle is always on and I am just a couple of minutes off the M4 …I often wonder if people look the same as I imagine them to look x
Note. I am tall slim, young and beautiful…ha ha

Well Brenda @teabreaks is such a good forum and FB friend that I waved to her today across the water from North Devon to Wales. She did though reject my offer of prawns or scampi for lunch

I’ve not met anyone who comes onto the forum in the flesh but hopefully one day I will, perhaps we should have a huge party for all the Folksy people wouldn’t that be great.
I was going to tag a friend of 35 years who has a shop but I’ve just had a look and I cant find it, went through all the shops in Yorkshire and the humber (which has certainly grown) and she isn’t there so she must have recently left, her name is Janice and her shop was Jelleco.
I have plenty of lovely online friends on Folksy though and I’m now curious to see if any live nearby so will have to look through those living in East Yorkshire.

I’m also going to post one of the items that I especially love from @BelaFarCrafts to say thank you, I love all of the Autumn/Fall pumpkins.

Thank you Minerva, and apologies for the delay in responding - just back from a 2 week holiday!
I’ve picked this lovely item from your shop, as it fits so well with the current ‘weddings’ theme:

I’d like to nominate Hannah @hannahberridgestudio
who I meet up for coffee and cake regularly. Well Hannah always drinks tea, but it’s coffee for me. We take our meets very seriously - if the cakes don’t meet our standards we don’t go back! We inspire each other with new designs or just to keep going during those times when even cake can’t bring our mojo back.
My favourite item in her shop is:

I would love to nominate my real life friend Lindsay and her shop Little Birdy Designs. Lindsay is so talented, and has been so generous with her time and experience in helping me get started with my own handmade business.
Lindsay has been with Folksy from the beginning!

I would love to nominate my lovely online friend and fellow potter, Haley from @HandCraftedLove
We have never met in person but we’ve been chatting online most days for a few years now but we did start chatting probably over 10 years ago when we had some similar things going on with our boys.
We have a mutual love of a bargain and we also share our pottery experiments with each other so only one of us has to figure out the hard way if things go wrong…lol!
We are also there for each other when you have those days when you wonder if the hard slog is worth it all! We’ve mutually decided it is!

I love her teeny houses and have a couple in my collection, so I’m sharing this house as my favourite item from her shop:

I would also like to nominate Brenda @teabreaks - she was really there for me when my Dad was ill and passed away and she is just a great friend to everyone on the 365 threads!
This is my favourite work of art from her shop:
