Challenge Thread - Daily Listing & Promotion December 2025

Welcome to the December 2025 Challenge Thread - Daily listing and promotion.

The challenge is that you list an item and then post it on this thread. Once you have done this you just visit all the other participating shops for that day by clicking on their item link and then click the heart .

It does take a little time each day but it is well worth it because everyone who joins gets the benefit and the group is a lovely supportive place to be.

HOW TO TAKE PART (AND THE RULES)

  1. Post your item for the day to the Challenge thread by copying and pasting the item URL from your Folksy Shop (don’t worry if you are not sure when you start just ask and someone will help). You can post a newly listed item or something already in your shop it does not matter.

  2. On the Challenge thread click on each of the links for everyone’s posted item for that day. This will take you to the item in their shop, and then click on the heart for the item  - this gives the listing a brief appearance on the Folksy front page under ‘Popular Right Now’ (this is the main rule for taking part in the Challenge)

The idea is we all do the same for everyone on the thread which gives us all an extra boost, along with virtual hugs and support from everyone in this lovely community.

If you have time you can also promote fellow daily listers outside of Folksy, such as making a Folksy Friday Board, posting on Facebook or Instagram etc. (Though this isn’t essential, but every little helps!)

Don’t worry if you don’t have time for extra promotion yourself, but you can help by liking/commenting on other peoples Folksy Friday boards and other promotion posts on social media.

If you have a Folksy sale while taking part in the Challenge thread post a message on the thread and tag me Max @MaxPringJewellery so we can all celebrate and have a happy dance with you. :woman_dancing:

I will keep a tally of sales during the month and will regularly post about these.

Any questions at all, please ask. Good luck everyone and lets hope the sales fairy is in a festive mood bringing lots of sales to you all xx

What a grim start to December! The BBC says we have a fresh breeze but it seems like a strong, wet wind to me.

I’m joining here for a week or so and then I’ll shut up shop. I’m suddenly feeling like a headless chicken. Thanks @MaxPringJewellery for being mum.

In recognition of my state of mind, here’s a chicken themed contribution.

I did a sale a couple of weeks ago and for me it was successful. I made £50!.

It is really a coffee morning with a few craft tables on the side which didn’t go well the first time I was there. I set up with all the lights, different heights, high and low pricing etc and the table looked fab…but I made only £20!

The second year I set up the table with not quite so much effort and made £30

This time though I just put everything out so that they could be seen and made sure the majority of items were £5 or under. I was so chuffed when people liked what they saw and I made £50!!

Morning all. I’ve not done this in so long that it’s really stretching my brain cells.

Hope all of you in Wales are OK. Stay safe.

Thanks for looking after us, Max @MaxPringJewellery

Good morning. Thank you for looking after us this month Max @MaxPringJewellery and welcome back Georgina @GeorginaCrawfordArt.

I’m posting a bit later than usual because the Christmas Tree was delivered this morning so we had fun unwrapping it and wrestling it into place. I’m looking forward to decorating it tomorrow.

I’m sharing some plantable gift tags today.

Morning all, just sat in on a MTD seminar from HMRC and still as confused as I was before it started, if not more so. I suppose what I figured out is that I don’t make enough (yet) for it to be relevant for the next few years at least.

Missed the last couple of days as I had a lovely weekend in Edinburgh catching up with a dear friend, we mooched around the Winter market and had some dinner at a little Indian restaurant which was delicious.

Just a relist from me today, I need better light to take more photos;
