August Daily Listing and Promotion Challenge Thread

Welcome to the August 2025 Daily Listing and Promotion Challenge Thread.

The challenge is that you will list and post your item to this thread, then visit all the other participating shops via their daily link AND :heart: that listing in their shop.

It does take a little time each day but it is well worth it because everyone who joins gets the benefit and the group is a lovely supportive place to be.

HOW TO TAKE PART (AND THE RULES)

Post your item for the day to the Challenge thread by copying and pasting the item URL from your Folksy Shop (don’t worry if you are not sure when you start just ask and someone will help). You can post a newly listed item or something already in your shop it does not matter.

On the Challenge thread click on the links for everyone’s posted item, this will take you to the item in their shop, and hit the items :heart: - this gives the listing a brief appearance on the Folksy front page under ‘Popular Right Now’ (this is the main rule for taking part in the Challenge)

The idea is we all do the same for everyone on the thread which gives us all an extra boost, along with virtual hugs and support from everyone in this lovely community.

If you have time you can also promote fellow listers outside of Folksy by pinning on Pinterest, making a Folksy Friday Board, posting on Facebook or Instagram etc.

If you have a Folksy sale while taking part in the Challenge thread post a message on the thread and tag me in @aquilacrafts so we can all celebrate and have a happy dance with you.

I will keep a tally of sales during the month and will regularly post about these.

Any questions at all, please ask.

Morning all, and thanks Mel for hosting the August challenge. We might try and get a couple of days away? MaYBE..
Not sure if we will make this month. As we are house clearing and sorting out Mums items for her house. We are getting there but its hard to believe what she had in her bungalow considering she downsized 12 years before she passed.
We are also catching up on thing including work on our new sandi style sofa, then to clearing the garage to the do a bit of maintenace on my racing dinghy.

Great to have you with us Jo @josjewellery . Just make sure you click on everyone’s links and click the heart on the listing in their shop. You can check that people are doing the same for you by looking at shop activity on your shop dashboard. I usually pop in several times during the day and catch up with the be latest posts.

So pleased you’ve had good sales Donna @underneaththeeaves , your work is lovely.

Its the last day of our Holiday Club, we’ve had mostly dry weather apart from the torrential rain yesterday. The parents come in this afternoon for cakes and we wave goodbye, pack everything up…until next year. And then collapse!

Just realised this morning when preparing my post for the Market For Kindness that I have not listed my insect repellent candles on Folksy and summer is nearly over!!

I spotted a typo on the label when I was re-sizing the photos for this, must remember to change the template for next year’s batch of these candles :rofl:

Morning all and huge thanks to Mel for hosting. I’ve still not got any new items to share, so I will join in as @theoldbuttonsupplies for a while. (Newbies - I have 2 shops/accounts, and sometimes focus more on 1 than the other, and sometimes do both at the same time.

Congrats to those with sales already, and well done on your 200th Lorraune @LilacDaisy :heart:

Thanks for hosting this month Mel.
I was contemplating dropping out this month as nothing new to share. I’m doing lots of fair prep and although I’ve got new pieces, I want to list all at the same time around the middle of the month.
However, I’m going to take part with all the loving but probably not many items to share, if that makes sense!
I’m also taking part in the kindness market so will be interesting to see what everyone else’s views on it are.
