Merry Christmas from a cold frosty Cornwall. We’ve got my son, his fiancee and their crazy mini whirlwind cocker sprocker doggy coming this morning, so total chaos for a couple of hours and then calm will resume and the cats will come out of hiding.
Happy Christmas,
I’ve peeled potatoes and now onto my 3rd cup of tea sat here all alone, it’s wonderfully peaceful. Nobody is awake yet although Hollie was awake about 7 am and took her stocking into Jessica’s room and I could hear them both whispering away opening their gifts. I was happy they both still wanted stockings at almost 17 and just turned 25 as their big brother Jake who turned 30 this year just laughed at me when I asked if he wanted one! You’re never too old for a stocking in my opinion.
Both girls are now fast asleep in Jessica’s bed surrounded by wrapping paper with Bella pussy cat curled up between them.
Hope you all have a peaceful/mad busy day, whichever you prefer!

Happy Christmas. Hope you all enjoy your day.
No listing today.
We have family coming for late lunch, so it has been a leisurely morning so far, Kitchen is tidy ready for the next burst of activity.
Nina and I finished the puzzle last night. Another lovely colourful one.
Nothing from me today, just popped in to wish you all a very happy Christmas from an extremely windy Kent. We’ve had to lock the cat flap as the wind is in just the direction to keep blowing it wide open.
Don’t think Alfie is overly bothered about going out anyway
Crazy dog has gone, cats have come out of hiding and the sky is darkening, and it’s cold enough for snow, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed. In the meantime I’m drooling over my new stash of washi tape. We have Christmas dinner in the evening, so that to look forward to later on.
You’ve never too old for stockings. My mum used to do ours, now we do them for each other. I got the cutest Trans Rights are Human Rights pin in mine, with some moisturiser and a chocolate orange.
Just a relist from me today. Three and a half hours sleep, ended abruptly by the neighbours hanging some things (plural) on the shared wall behind my head, was not the optimal preparation for the day. Whacked my arm on a door handle (happens all the time) and managed to bruise the bone… but still having a lovely day.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful time.
Edit: Forget to mention Matt losing brownie points last night by not telling me until after dinner last night that he wasn’t happy with what he’d got his mum and needed something extra… cue me with the crafting stuff out at 11.30pm on Christmas Eve. Still, mother-in-law has a lovely new bookmark, and I’ve done a prototype trial for the new bookmarks.
Had a lovely afternoon with our grown up kids and daughters boyfriend here, tasty lunch cooked by oh, Lego, origami and puzzles. Kitchen tidied and now ready for bed, but the guests don’t seem in a hurry leave.
Morning everyone, had a lovely day, ate too much and didn’t do much except sit around. It was freezing and very windy out so no walk either which I’m hoping to remedy this morning before they all descend on us for sausage sandwiches. Hope you all have a nice day xx
We’ve also had a good day yesterday. I was driving people around and some of the houses were burning some serious christmas decs. Torquay harbour looked good, shame about the rest of the town. Shows how things have changed for the high street shops. Now looking towards 2026 and great things to come after 2025 was a tough one to deal with for us. Take care and enjoy the rest of the break.
