I don’t mind white holly berry as that’s natural as is orange holly berry. The RHS are asking for people to let them know if they see the white holly berry so they can take cuttings and restock the as there are fewer and fewer white holly berry trees left in the UK. I haven’t seen one since I was a little girl.
I’m not too keen on plastic white holly leaves as holly leaves are either dark green or variegated such as yellow and pale green or the silver and pale green.
I tend also to keep to the traditional colours but I do have my smaller Christmas tree that’s white and red in the main.
I do have some deep purple bubbles that I do sometime. Purple is a royal colour for kings and queens.
I’ve so many decorations as we add a few more each year.
I bring down all my boxes from my loft then decide on whether I’m going tradition or tartan or gold and red, or a complete mix of colours.
My porch is always red and white with white lights.
As over the years I’ve taken part in many Christmas Decoration Exchanges I have many beautiful hand made Christmas Decorations and when I get them out they always make me think about the lovely people who have made them for me.
Also the one’s I’ve made over the years some I knitted as a child so they are part of my childhood.
