Evening all, finished my Mumās christmas gift, itās having a wee bath before it has a wee stretch! Itās a knitted lacework cowl so always good to block something like this to open out the pattern.
Loved all the listings to here, glad to see itās been another busy day of sales here. None for me but one of my items has made a gift guide.
Hereās another relist, off to run a bath for the kiddo.

Iām having major computer problems today! Thought my laptop was dead and Iād lost the tax return stuff I was working on this morning. Iāve only just managed to get it to switch back on. I had to dig the old glitchy smartphone back out of its drawer to try and get online, but I couldnāt get on the forum (or many other places) without a āyour connection is not secureā message. And Folksy itself wouldnāt load any of the pictures. Iām thinking Iām going to have to bow out of the thread till I get it sorted, and might put the shop on holiday mode. Iām worried Iāll have trouble fulfilling any sales if I get them. Iāve managed to 
up to here!
So Merry Christmas to all of you who are taking time off, and I hope to be back asap. What a pain computers are!!

@TheHermitsBothy ā¦I hope you get sortedā¦I have a fear of this sort of thing happening to me, as I donāt have a clue how to sort out any problems I am already worried that from October next year, google will no longer support Windows 10 and if there is a problem I will have to give up the work that I loveā¦i have 10 months so hope that something or someone will be able to help me. I have only just bought my first smart phone and canāt even swipe a phone call without cutting the caller offā¦lolā¦ Are there any nice people on here who can tell me whether it is possible to use my folksy shop ( selling and listing) just by using my phone?..I have a few months to try to learn itā¦and will keep going for as long as my ancient laptop worksā¦I doubt if I could afford a new oneā¦xx

I know what you mean Brenda @teabreaks. I help my mum with tech stuff all the time, although Iām pretty rubbish at it myself! I actually got a new (not new) refurbished laptop that arrived this morning. I got it on ebay, and managed to haggle him down to Ā£115. So itās possible to get one without spending megabucks. Itās from 2019, so newer than the 2015 one I have now, but I didnāt want a fancy one. But I canāt get online with it because the ethernet cable doesnāt seem to work! I have no wifi in the ābothyā (garden shed), so I have to find out what the problem is there before I can do much with it. Thereās nothing straightforward!

and what about all my thousands of photos that are all in monthly albums. (Yes they are saved on a picture keeper but NOT in monthly folders.)ā¦then someone would have to come and install office word for me and connect me up to my wireless printerā¦the thought of it all fills me with horrorā¦anyone want to buy 500 paintings?..lolā¦x

I think youāve identified a niche in the market Brenda! There must be loads of work available for tech-savvy people who can sort these things out for people. Theyād need to be trustworthy though and not steal all your data, which seems to be a bit of a problem for people these days!

Morning all
Doing a lot of planning for 2025 and enjoying the downtime. Seems our sorting office has got itself sorted, according to an email, proof in the pudding as no deliveries yesterday apart from a parcel. Our MP got involved also had an email from him about the delays. Not on at Christmas.
