Daily Listing Challenge and Group Promotion thread - November 2024

A warm welcome to the November 2024 Daily Listing Challenge and Promotion Thread.

I am Mel from Aquila Crafts and I will be hosting the November thread. Huge thanks to Alison @FluffStuffCrafts for looking after us during October and dancing her socks off for all the sales…

This is a challenge thread which means that as well as listing and posting your item to the thread you must visit all the other participating shops via their daily link AND  that listing in their shop.

It does take a little time each day but it is well worth it because everyone who joins gets the benefit and the group is a lovely supportive place to be.

HOW TO TAKE PART (AND THE RULES)

Post your item for the day to the Challenge thread by copying and pasting the item URL from your Folksy Shop (don’t worry if you are not sure when you start just ask and someone will help). You can post a newly listed item or something already in your shop it does not matter.

On the Challenge thread click on the links for everyone’s posted item, this will take you to the item in their shop, and hit the items  - this gives the listing a brief appearance on the Folksy front page under ‘Popular Right Now’ (this is the main rule for taking part in the Challenge :sunglasses:)

If you have time you can also promote fellow listers outside of Folksy by pinning on Pinterest, making a Folksy Friday Board, posting on Facebook or Instagram etc.

If you have a Folksy sale while taking part in the Challenge thread post a message on the thread and tag me in so we can all celebrate and have a happy dance with you.

I will keep a tally of sales during the month and will regularly post about these.

The idea is we all do the same for everyone on the thread which gives us all an extra boost, along with virtual hugs and support from everyone in this lovely community.

Please remember to do your bit (clicking on everyone’s items and :heart:ing them) missing the odd day or two is fine (we all have busy lives) but please do not ‘post and run’

Hopefully we’ll have a great November with lots of sales.

Happy November!

I hope everyone has a sell filled month, including me!
I decided to phase a removal of items from a local shop I had started with back in Feb. I went to sort things out this week and it was all a cluttered mess! It was in appealing and poorly set up. I had noticed it the last few times and hoped it would improve but hasn’t. Part of the problem, I know is it is done by volunteers. When I retire and have more time, I will get into that shop and sort! Otherwise, will only keep a few things there.

I have been filling my online shop and even have a wee Discount Code on offer for 10% discount with the code : shopearly

Today is a set of three paw print decorations:

Just checked I have 999 items in my shop! Why am I addicted to making?

I don’t have nearly the number but that is me. I am addicted to creating.
I still work full time but expect that once I retire in a few years, it will explode!

Morning everyone.

Retirement is dangerous as you just do not stop making. I retired early at 50 in 2008, DH retired at the same time since then do have periods when do nothing but now making most days.

Good morning everyone. Thank you for hosting the thread last month Alyson @FluffStuffCrafts and for taking over this month Mel @aquilacrafts. I hope everyone has lots of sales this month.

My listing today is a plant pot that I finished yesterday. I made 2 in those colours and they are my favourite out of all the pots I have made, I really love how the colours have come out. I’ve been having an argument with my self about whether to list them or keep them. It would mean that I would have to get more plants if I kept them, and since I already own just shy of 40 houseplants common sense won, so I’m listing them. I just hope they sell before I give in to temptation :joy:

Morning All
Would it be OK for me to join you all again this month?
I would be mainly be relisting items which many of you will already have  loved. But I really need help finding my MoJo.
I only have 30 items in my shop at the moment and unlikely to be able to add too many more(I have a very slow process of working)
I’ll try not to be naughty

Good morning all!
Thank you for October’s housekeeping Alison @FluffStuffCrafts & for looking after us this month Mel @aquilacrafts !
I have 85 in my shop, nowhere near the 999, and 2 pages is the most I had so far :upside_down_face:
I know exactly the feeling Emma @QuirkyOwlStudio (although I cannot even imagine 40 house plants fitting anywhere in my house that’s taken by a million unused toys…). When my Christmas treat board sold my my daughter almost cried and has been asking me to make one for us since…
Mine also says “bill not issued” Brenda @teabreaks so I would imagine it will come a bit later… Not having high hopes for a free month
Here is mine for today, reindeer favour boxes.

Good morning all, how can it be November already?

Thank you for looking after us this month Mel @aquilacrafts, let’s hope it’s another good one.

I’m hoping to actually leave the house today, I waited in all day yesterday for a parcel that never arrived, very frustrating.
