Morning everyone. I hope you all had a lovely day yesterday. The bothy had a new little stove fitted other day (the other one was letting too much smoke into the room), so for the last couple of days I’ve been burning it through the day with the door open to get rid of the new stove paint-curing smell. Last night the smell was mostly gone, and with the door closed it was so lovely and cozy in there. Just me and the cats snuggled down with Netflix and Toblerone. Much the same planned for today! The only thing missing is knitting, but I’m wearing a brace all through Christmas to try and get the stubborn tendonitis to heal. Hope you all have a relaxing Boxing Day.

Happy Boxing Day A lovely quiet one for us after yesterday with a very exited 3 year old
Brenda @teabreaks We have just been to Castle Douglas and walked the dog round the loch. We didn’t see any fire engines so hopefully its been peaceful for your son

Valerie @valerie …my Son has the lurgy at the moment, so even if there was a fire brigade “Shout” I don’t think he would be there…but if you see a fire engine, wave…just in case…and if you want to lose any Christmas over eating weight, he runs his own gym in Dalbeattie… (I remember feeding the ducks in the loch in Castle Douglas and having some humongous scones in a cafe in the main street ).

Happy Christmas All!
We are celebrating Christmas today, as I was still feeling rough yesterday - certainly not up to roasting a duck. OH made shepherd’s pie instead.
Feeling a lot better today, so we are about to have our traditional smoked salmon and scrambled eggs starter, then presents, with roast dinner later this evening.

Good evening everyone, a very busy day with the family today. It’s a bit chaotic with three little ones all trying to be Santas little helper! They’ve all gone now so settling down with a glass of wine and a movie.
I hope you all enjoyed your Christmas Day however you celebrated.

Good morning everyone.
Up and out early this morning to take hubby to work because I need the car to take my brother to his hospital appointment. It’s really foggy this morning. Other than that, it’s a day of rest as my poor arthritic back suffers where we have family days with all the extra work.

Rest your back Carol. I find always in pain after cooking at Christmas, do not think we realise how much standing, bending, twisting it takes to cook Christmas lunch, hugs.
