I’m currently doing a shift in our local makers shop. It’s a chilly, old building on the best of days. I think I may be frozen to the chair by the time I finish at 2pm!

Opened the curtains this morning to a flurry of snow on a hard frost, but that’s all it was - a flurry.
I have a new listing for you all today, but don’t get too excited. It’s another train towel. I seem to sell one every time I do a live craft fair, if I sell nothing else!

Good morning everyone.
Hope all of you are doing ok and poorly peeps are getting plenty of rest and recovering.
We’ve had a parents evening, first ever for me, and Millie is every teachers dream pupil 
one proud mummy. She’s very kind, loves to learn, listens well and is incredibly creative!!! We are so so blessed with her. Even if she drives me nuts some days hahaha my cheeky monkey on the coldest day so far this morning.
Forgot what a faff it is to defrost the car in the morning 
need to get some proper scraper or de icer. Hope everyone is keeping warm!!

Lovely picture…Zuz @knotsoneat …what a sweetie…we use white vinegar ( or brown is ok) mixed 50/50 with water for the car windscreen…just spray it on and the ice melts and you drive down the road smelling like the local “chippy”…x

I was just reading this article and thought I’d share it in case anyone was interested. It’s about creating your own virtual pop up shop - which I guess is similar to a shop drop. Might be a good way to sell off excess xmas items if you don’t want to store them till next year. I was thinking you could create a collection called ‘pop up shop’ or something and put everything on sale in that collection. Something I might think about anyway, depending on how much stock I have left after the christmas market I have later in the month. Quiet as it feels like I’m wading through treacle the past 48 hours. Mainly low energy but a few glums that won’t be shaken off by listing things I’m grateful for. Anyone else struggling?

Liz, I recommend rechargeable hand warmers in your pockets. Some of my best fairs have been on days with torrential rain but it does make it a bit more challenging. If you’ve got a roof above your head that’ll be a big help.

Happy Pre-Christmas Madness everyone! I still have wool looking at me that is a gift to myself 
I am back from the other side Yetsy, the place where your funds disappear as well as your pieces for sale. Pop on over as I load my shop back up into the light side of the street! Handknitted scarves and snoods, this craft has helped keep me sane in cancer recovery! All clear since 2022 and now loving life again.

Good afternoon - still busy with the robins so no time for a listing yet.
Mel @aquilacrafts - I gave up with outdoor events some time ago - no fun wrestling with a gazebo even on a calm day and one small gust of wind and my stock is off down the road!! I’ve now got to the stage that even having to take a table with me is too much hassle and I have been limiting myself to events that provide the display shelves/tables!!

Brrr - it’s freezing here, only a very short flurry of the white stuff yesterday but still cold. Had a message from my daughter (who lives on a boat) last night complaining she was freezing. I have been nagging her for months to find out how the central heating on her boat works but of course she hasn’t - she has been relying on the wood burner and has now run out of wood!! Solution was to head to her boyfriend’s house for the night!
Off to walk the dog now - might actually warm me up a bit with the hike up the hill in a lovely warm coat that I bought yesterday.
Will try and get back with a listing but I don’t hold out much hope.
