Well I’m knackered this morning. Not because I was out partying or anything, just couldn’t sleep! Was still staring at the roof at 4am. Job no.1 this year will be to get my sleep patterns back on track after their Christmas break!
Happy New Year to everyone. One of my New Year’s resolutions is to be more active on Folksy Talk and I am hoping to keep up with the daily listings challenge! I love that stamp @PatchworkPackages you must let me know where you purchased it.
Thank you to @SusanBettyArt for hosting as I imagine it takes up some time.
Here’s to a successful year on Folksy starting with a little card from me.
Thank you Angela @TheHedgerowArtist it came from a well known online shop we all know and try not to use but do - think big strong ladies. There are lots to choose from with personalisation options and a huge price range. I went for mid price and adapted one of their designs changing the font and, of course, using my details.
I was pleased with the design and the impression. It works best on a mid weight paper I am using a good quality writing paper with a slight gloss finish (the impression directly on to card is ok but not as crisp as the paper).
I have decided to cut circles, stamp the circle and stick the impressed piece onto cards, labels for my pieces etc.
welcome Bachzigns @Bachzigns andShirley @pirateswag …the instructions are at the start of the thread and you have to go to everyone’s shop and like their item in their shop and not just here… If you have any problems, please don’t hesitate to ask…everyone is here to help. It IS time consuming when there are a lot of people taking part but it gets the sales and is well worth the effort.
I have checked and you both seem to be doing it correctly so WELL DONE…
xx
Morning all and Happy New Year!
Not a good night for us. Despite the strong wind the fireworks started at about 7pm, with loads at midnight. They carried on until about 2.30am. My cat was so scared and with all the noises the wind made too I didn’t sleep much.
Still very windy now, and wet, and my neighbours fence is coming down with at least 1 panel in our garden…they rent the house so I doubt it will be fixed any time soon.
Hoping to get some sewing done, if I can stay awake, but just a relist for today.
Happy New Year everyone.
Weather was awful last night with torrential rain and strong winds although it didn’t seem to stop the fireworks! Garden is badly flooded which is not impressing Sadie as she can’t get to the trees at the bottom to chase the squirrels!
Hello to all the new folk and well done to those with sales already.
A relist from me today
Hi Everyone and Happy New Year,
It’s so nice to be back after a longish absence. I miss you all when I’m away. Thank you Susan @SusanBettyArt for hosting.
I’m another one who didn’t sleep too well last night. The rain was hammering down most of the night and the stream which runs down the side of our garden was four times its usual size and going like a train. With the amber weather warning I fully expected to wake up to a flooded garden this morning, but we didn’t! Fortunately the house is built on a higher level so no real risk to property and life.
A little pair of earrings to set me off this month, listed a couple of days ago.
Hi everyone, Happy New Year! Quiet night for me and early bed - sadly horses don’t understand the concept of a lie in so a 6.30am start for me as usual
This is my first time doing the daily listing challenge, so please let me know if I’m doing it wrong!
For my first day I’ve chosen a flowery cushion to remind us that spring is just around the corner…
Hi Liz @bluebellcoast and welcome to the thread.
Can I suggest you go to the very beginning of the thread and read the rules in the 1st post? You need to click on the links/photo’s that everyone has posted on here today and like the item in their shop by clicking on the heart underneath the price of the item. Everyone on here then does the same for the item you post on here. You do this everyday for the month.
Also, somehow the June host for this year Sharon @TheOldButton has mysteriously dissappeared from the 1st post in this thread. Can you amend this please Susan @SusanBettyArt
