Happy boxing day to everyone, we are suffering the rains and winds today. I have damage to my roof and my sons bedroom walls are wet but nothing like the houses even 300 yards away who are suffering terribly. There are bridges being washed away and livestock being swept downstream, very scary. I am lucky to live on a hill I think.

Our Christmas Day didn’t turn out quite as planned - my Mum’s boiler broke down in the morning and we discovered it was leaking & had to call an emergency engineer out. They were due around 12 - which would have worked out fine with the turkey lunch cooking at my house, but they eventually came around 5pm! I managed to slow the meal down, and it didn’t taste too bad, but I think by then we were so hungry by then that anything would have tasted ok!
The boiler needs a new part & of course with christmas everything is delayed, so hopefully it will be fixed on Tuesday. Mum’s got some heaters and fortunately it is so mild at the moment, so not as bad as it could be.

Good morning all - sorry have been AWOL for a couple of days - far too much food and wine, early mornings and late nights! Have been staying at my sisters since Christmas Eve - there are 14 of us here with ages ranging from 3 to 70 and other visitors popping in and out. Great fun but exhausting, I am looking forward to my own bed tonight
Nothing new to show at the moment, have been having a lot of discussion with my niece about the way to go forward with my work so have lots of ideas for marketing spinning round in my head. Plenty to think about for the new year.
Hope you are all having a lovely time and that Christmas has been fun for all despite the weather/boiler breakdowns etc.

Morning Dazzlers, thank you for your messages, we are all safe and dry. Sue I hope your mums heating / boiler gets sorted out soon. Heating was my main worry with the flooding as ten thousand houses were without heating and both Mark and I have elderly parents so that was a worry.

Just popping in say that I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas. I still only have an intermittent internet access so I can’t actually upload any new photos to my shop and the latest date we have from PO Broadband is the 7th January but I’ll believe that when it happens.
In the meantime, I have managed to get one sale to add to the tally please Natalie @NOfkantsCurios. Just in the nick of time.
