A little bit niche I admit, but I would love to see things made using alpaca fibre. We use our own alpaca fibre for yarn and felting and I am sure lots of you must do too! It would be great to meet some more alpaca geeks. To start you off here are our felted soaps, yarn and an example of a woven scarf.
I’m currently knitting myself an alpaca/ wool blend jumper but purely for personal consumption and most definitely not for my shop. (Its worked in the round from the bottom up - I’ve only got the nordic pattern yoke to go so will report back when I’m done…)
That sounds lovely, can’t wait to see it!
Hand dyed alpaca fabric bear
I love working with alpaca, I have quite a collection of hand dyed alpaca fabric to use.
I have also just bought some gorgeous very luxurious mohair with alpaca. OOAK Collectable Artist Bear, 11" Dressed ... - Folksy
Most of my dolls have alpaca boucle yarn for hair and I often used hand dyed alpaca yarn.
Personally I can’t wear anything containing animal hair but my dolls and bears don’t seem to mind.

They are beautiful! I did wonder if the dolls hair was alpaca. The alpaca fabric is a great idea.
This tea cosy has some Alpaca in it. I love using it but I can’t wear it as it makes me itchy. I have quite sensitive skin though.
This little cardigan for a baby is made using lovely soft alpaca yarn
Wow, these are beautiful @bekokodesigns. I love the colours.
Thank you very much
I do work with alpaca sometimes…there is a percentage of it in the yarns I used here…
Thank you very much
Beautiful!
