I normally like to have an idea in my mind or I get completely stuck thinking how to start. If I were painting more abstract then I’d find it a lot easier to just put some paint on and see where it goes, but for what I’m doing now I always like to do a little doodle first.
There’s an old canvas on my wall that I’ve been wanting to paint over and do something for myself on though, something in a different style to my normal and I have no idea what. Maybe I should just try sticking some paint on and seeing what happens!
Hello all, I’ve been painting on found beach pebbles of late, it’s a lovely surface to paint on and once varnished it’s so smooth and lovely to hold too! It becomes it’s own object in itself!
Only if the paint hasn’t built up too much anywhere! Luckily I think the painting that’s currently there is fairly flat, but I know if I tried covering up my animals or stripes there’d probably be slight raised lines all over giving it away.
Thanks for that, I’m sure I’ve only had about 20 views since Christmas though so luckily I doubt many other people will have noticed.
good afternoon to you all…bit misty outside…we are in the clouds because we live high up !!! two roads down it will be clear but not up here.
today I have a 7x5 watercolour landscape
.
I haven’t much time to be creative at the moment, Tilly is taking up all of my spare time and when she’s asleep I catch up on commissions. I’m looking forward to being able to draw and paint purely for the fun of it!
With many tears and hopefully some pride! She’ll be off on her adventures being a life changer - I just hope that her future owner will get in touch with us to let us know how she’s going on.
A friend of my wife bought this framed painting and sent me this photo of its new home on her wall, its a great feeling to know that someone, somewhere values your work.
