Please let us have your feedback in this thread - we want to build on this (currently quite basic) feature to help increase the chances of people finding your work and then converting them into buyers of your work.
I got quite excited when I saw this was available but disappointed when I saw it. 204 items in my shop and 0 items that could be improved! I suppose that’s good news but considering how many years I’ve been here, compared with the very small amount that I’ve ever sold, it’s not very encouraging. The only suggestion was to go international because I’m UK only, which I’ve no intention of doing. Hopefully this feature will be developed further.
I don’t really know as I didn’t know this feature was being set up. It wasn’t helpful to me as it didn’t find anything to correct in my shop, yet 204 sales in 13 years isn’t a good record, surely there should be something I can do! I know my stuff sells generally, I do in-person craft fairs as well as galleries and I do very well, so I know it’s not my designs. So, whatever algorhythm (? ) they’re using isn’t highlighting anything I can use to improve online sales - I’m not technical enough to understand what can be done really, I just know I need help!
531 items in my shop and only 4 need improvement, with longer titles required - not too bad, but I’m not sure that it is going to make my shop suddenly more attractive.
108 active listings with 0 improvements on those (which was nice to see I guess). The 2 recommendations made were with regards to international shipping and linking my socials. The socials part i’m working on (looking to maybe set up a FB page to compliment my Pinterest) but with a full time job, a 5 year old and a puppy, my hands are a little… full. Any spare time I have at the moment is spent making products so my shop has a decent amount of products before I go touting my wares wider. One thing I will say is that the improved /more detailed stats have been really helpful and I’ve seen an uptick in visits from Google and Pinterest so will continue stocking my shop for now with more emphasis on socials to follow in the not too distant future.
No items need improvement..,yeah, at least i am doing something right although some listings need international shipping adding, I had a look and it was just my cards that havn’t got international on them, I think I will add it to the 6 pack but not the individual ones, i would imagine the postage would be more than the card so i doubt anyone would purchase one.
A really good feature to have if it highlights things that need doing to improve listings or a shop.
The only items in my shop which needed improving are all my craft supplies clearance items. I’m not spending hours taking more photos of cones of silk threads and leather cord! People needing supplies don’t need loads of pictures to purchase to what they need. They either want it or they don’t want it. So I am pleased my listings for actual items i have made don’t need any improvements😀.
I found the idea of getting feedback on my shop useful, it’s always interesting to get another opinion.
My suggested improvement was to offer international selling. This is something that I was put off from after all of the recent changes. Are there any sellers who currently ship abroad who could give any pointers? Are some countries more straightforward than others to send to?
Looks like a great feature to me as it will pick up mistakes when listing (forgetting tags etc.) which are easy to make when listing several items at a time. Glad to get a clean bill of health for my all new listings x
I was expecting to have red pen all over everything, but apparently all is good with the listings in my shop. Suggestions were to create a banner which I have been intending to tackle and also the international postage thing. Like Jayne I would appreciate some feedback / advice on this please.
