Folksy 365 Daily Listing and Group Promotion Thread - July 2023 we

Finally caught up with all yesterday and this mornings listings and news.
Kingfisher is stunning Rox @OrchardFelts. I have the same trouble with running! Was running lots until the dreaded pandemic hit, so constantly trying to find motivation is a slog. I’ve got Great North Run again in September so need to get on with it! @RosyMoonUK Bruce hates it when I get the mud daddy out! :joy: @ChrisStoneArtist hope the doomed painting sells quickly. @aquilacrafts, Mel, that toiletry bag was beautiful and Pam will love it x

Graduation went well, thank you for the lovely wishes, Grace and Barney the 2 students who lost their lives in that attack were mentioned and a posthumous degree for another student. Makes you very grateful to have your child.

Hi again everyone I’m back again with Oswestry Jewels this time.
Fingers crossed that your phone does find it way back to you Mandy @feelfeltfound and that your offer is accepted Zuzanna @knotsoneat.
I should hold your breath waiting for your appointment Helen @PocketfulCreations. I saw the doctor back in March and she wrote to the ENT clinic at the hospital for an appointment about the recurring infection I keep getting in my parotid gland. This finally came through about 2 weeks ago for 24 April 2024.
Today’s relist is this pink and black lampwork bead bracelet

Really hope you get the house Zuzana @knotsoneat
Fingers crossed you get your phone back Mandy @feelfeltfound

The sales fairy seems to have deserted me online, I’m really hoping that this weekends fair will result in some sales, so hard to know with the current economic climate.

Good Morning all

Back in the land of Firefox with Folksy… phew… It was annoying having to have 2 browsers open - in the end all it took was for me to clear my Folksy cookies

Not too sure on my day plan yet. I really need to cut the back lawn but hoping it will dry out enough seeing as it rained all yesterday or… I have a 25kg order of Tumblestones being delivered at lunch time so could do with making a start on sorting through it all and getting it into stock and listed, luckily its all stones I have standard generic photos of.

Here’s mine for today… I am going with a Hot Pink relist as well

Hope you find your phone Mandy @feelfeltfound. Best lost and found I’ve experienced was when my daughter went on an exchange to San Francisco and dropped her wallet while out. A lady found it and managed somehow to trace it back to me through her school bus pass - a round about route that involved contacting the school/council/bus company and eventually me. I put them in touch with each other - turns out the lady who found it was an aunt of the girl she was on her exchange with!!
The run didn’t happen - been enjoying the sunshine instead doing a bit of needle felting for a new project. I really need to stop making as I am not selling anything much at the moment except a few smaller pieces in the gallery. Trouble is I’m addicted!! Need to find a new hobby.

Oh Mandy @feelfeltfound, I do hope that you do get your phone back. Mel @aquilacrafts, I love that vintage fabric. Zuzana @knotsoneat, I hope that it all works out on your house. In my experience the actual buying business (and selling your own if you need to) is much more stressful than the move itself. Helen @PocketfulCreations, I hope that the NHS surprise you and give you an early date. It can happen. I was booked for a non-urgent gastroscopy and nearly everyone on the FB support group with similar problems was waiting over a year. Mine came through for about two months time. Sue @SueTrevor I love the colours in that mirror. Might ask you about a commission along similar lines. I have the mirror, but I need a pretty pouch to keep it in.
Anyway - I am going with the bright colour theme today but I have chosen red.

That was a long catch up! I’m afraid I don’t remember everything, apart from @feelfeltfound’s lost phone and @PocketfulCreations’s tonsils. Here’s to gaining a phone and losing some tonsils!
A somewhat gothic, surreal, Cowardesque listing today.

Having said I don’t remember everything, I recall @ChristineJonesPrintmaker querying the effectiveness of Theme of the Day. It’s difficult to measure, but it must be a good thing I’m sure. On the rare occasions I qualify to tag nearly my whole shop for theme of the day, I haven’t had sales on the day, but they have trickled through on the days that follow. Who’s to say that the item wasn’t first flagged to that buyer because of Theme of the Day? Anything that gets you noticed is a good thing!

Hope the phone gets returned @feelfeltfound
Chris @ChrisStoneArtist I have never gained anything from theme of the day or being on the front page ( which is rare anyway)…but who knows, we might have given someone a light bulb moment when they were looking at a later date.
I just went to town…first outing in 6 weeks…gosh, there are “people” out there.
No handsome hunk though…even the taxi driver home had no teeth…lol…
