Andrea @GrannysHandknits You need to increase your shipping charges…I just looked online and a parcel over 100g is over £4… even second class is over £3
xx
Happy October everyone !
I don’t think I’ll have enough new stock to last the whole month, so will probably need to dip in and out.
Thanks Brenda. I will have to check everything x
I’ve applied, Rachel, but haven’t heard anything back. I did it two years ago and it was ok, but I was very new to Folksy and the whole online market thing.
I’m not much help, sorry.
I would have applied but will not pay £10 non refundable to do so. In the past have applied to juried events and never had to pay in that way. Places such as Loseley and Charterhouse plus the ACS school in Cobham where it was run buy a group of philanthropic women, as like Ramster all done for charity but not expected to pay to apply. Sorry but in my book that is all wrong.
Evening all caught up to here and happy dance for your sale Marion @WestcountryCreations
Evening all.
Thanks for keeping tally again Max @MaxPringJewellery hope you are feeling better. Was your glass course today?
Was in two minds weather to join in this month, as I’m pretty worried about the postal strikes and delayed/lost deliveries, having said that though my Folksy customers have always been very polite and patient, it’s always seems to be sales on the other side that get ‘lost’ and need replacing or refunding, anyone else have the same?
You’re welcome Francis @thatenamelguy, and I love the pendant
Thank you for the welcome back Franscis @thatenamelguy and Marion @WestcountryCreations.
Sorry to hear about your sad news @NOfkantsCurios
I did the folksy Christmas market last year had a couple of sales and quite a few more followers was going to do it this year but have decided not to because of the postal strikes in November
Hi everyone
Thanks Max @MaxPringJewellery for looking after us again this month
Been really poorly today and my brain’s not taking much in at the mo, so apologies for missing anything important.
Just going to leave a quick relist and then back to bed x
Is it spring yet? Hope everyone who is unwell or under the weather is feeling better really soon.
Getting back to my old routine of listing for the day ahead.
Morning all.
Can you add 2 sales please Max @MaxPringJewellery
Must admit worried about the postal strikes this year and debating about closing my shop in December as too much worry about deliveries.
Good morning, happy dancong for your sales Caroline @Caroleecrafts
I’m really worried about the post stikes too and hoping they get it sorted in the next couple of weeks, I have put up notices in my shops to warn of delays and disruption and also e-mail all customers as well at the time of purchase and again when it’s posted (E*** do this automatically, but you have to do that yourself for Folky), some people do get frustrated, but on the whole most people understand there is nothing you can do. I lost a few last year especially, but so far only 1 gone astray this year, but I’m sure that won’t be the only one now with the latest planned action
Had thought of going back to a courier. Belinda our end is brilliant but she knows what Evri are like and said they have not changed as the same company. Due to the change of parcel sizes the couriers now have to delivery more for less money.
Morning
Hope you’re feeling a bit better this morning Carole @MyosotisJewellery
The postal strikes are a worry but I expect I’ll just stick my head in the sand as usual and hope for the best . I think it’ll be ok as long as customers are aware of it and maybe order a little earlier than they normally would.
Morning all. Overcast this morning but quite mild.
Visited a friend for a cuppa and a natter yesterday afternoon, spent a very enjoyable afternoon sitting in the warm autumn sun.
Congrats to all those with sales. Hugs for all.
A destash item from me today
Good morning all…damp but a bit warmer today.
Like everyone else, I am concerned about the postal strikes. I have every sympathy for those on low pay but striking affects the wrong people and puts a lot of people out of business, whereas the BIG BOYS like Am**** have their own couriers and nothing affects them. I used to use the famous H couriers and never had a problem with them…our guy is really good but the problem was more the fact that a lot of customers refuse to buy from shops using them…We just all have to keep our fingers crossed and hope that we don’t get any problems
Today I have one of my hand painted cards
