Good morning! I wasn’t originally going to join in this month, as October is normally very busy for me. But the unplanned stay in Scotland has put my listing and promotion way behind, and my email is empty of any orders from anywhere. The forecast says sunny this afternoon, so with a little luck I’ll get some photos done of new stock, and then I can get started.
Morning all,
Grey and damp here today but at least the cloud cover means it’s a bit warmer.
I have a bauble style reindeer decoration / present topper today.
Morning everyone,
My 1st sale for October to add to the tally please Max @MaxPringJewellery
I’m with you on et$¥ Deborah @DeborahJonesJewellery so much more gets ‘lost’ on Et$¥ and my folksy customers seem so much more understanding.
As for the postal strikes, I’m waiting on some tissue paper to arrive, which has obviously got stuck in the system. I should have ordered it sooner I can understand how people feel when their parcel doesn’t arrive in a timely fashion.
Good morning all I hope you are all well.
Would it be a good opportunity to remind all of our new friends to read the notice at the beginning of this thread for the instructions for taking part.
Today it’s another of the Halloween listings, this time a bookmark
Belted down with rain here earlier but now the sun has come out and quite a nice day.
The postal strikes are definitely a worry, and on top of everything else at the moment, but I will just hope for the best and see what happens and try to not let it stress me out too much. Easier said than done sometimes though
All loved to here. Well done those with sales. I refuse to be worried about the postal strikes. We all have more important things to worry about. Our customers will just have to be more understanding, and quicker to order!
We have decided not to visit my sister today. We both got up this morning with awful colds (but tested negative for covid). I don’t think the care home would thank us for infecting their patients.
I’ve relisted two items today, which could feasibly be paired: Tractor dribble bib
Morning everyone
Feeling better today thank you, will still have to take things a bit easy today but definitely in the right direction.
I had already applied for the Christmas market before I saw the new strike dates, so if I get in I’ll just have to deal with whatever comes. It’ll be my first time doing it - or any online market actually - if I do, so I’m too ignorant to know what to worry about yet
I’m also choosing not to worry too much about Royal Mail and I’m just going to carry on regardless as there’s not much else for it, other than making sure customers are aware.
I anticipate that it will be a pain as last time they’d only been out for the first day and it took over 2 weeks for some things to be delivered. I’ve also sent 5 large letters via 1st class ‘Signed for’ (thankfully not customer orders) recently to various parts of the country which have all taken ages to arrive and they’ve not recorded the delivery of any of them, even though I know they’ve arrived (seems to be something they’re just not doing right now!!!).
Think I’ve only ever had one order here that has actually gone missing vs delayed, but it does get really hairy when you feel like you’re constantly begging customers to allow more time - I usually highlight that Royal Mail don’t consider something missing until 10 working days after it should have arrived, but it can be tough asking people to wait that length of time.
Oh well, can’t be as bad as lockdown - I had a customers who sent an order to their work address and no longer had access
I may be missing now until tomorrow afternoon, grandchildren will be here any minute and then I’m dropping them off in the morning and going straight to a conference until just after lunch so I may have to catch up late tomorrow afternoon. xx
