Evening all,

Oh no Caroline @carolinefrodsham what a terrible time you are having at the moment. So sorry to hear you news, thinking of you and sending hugs.

Rachel @Verchielbeadsandjewellery thank you for the earring love and hope the scales are kind to you.

I’m not sure that I’ll make it here tomorrow, a group of us are having a day out for a friends birthday, ending the day watching Miss Saigon.

Anyway. here’s mine for today: https://folksy.com/items/7145084-Crystal-Bead-Weave-Pendant-Necklace-In-Brown-Russet-Tones

Thank you all for your kind thoughts. I didn’t get all that bad news yesterday , but it was over the last week culminating yesterday . I feel so sad for the people directly involved , especially my friend who is having to look after her son with the brain tumour . She is having such a terrible time and not nearby.
It does make you appreciate what you’ve got and what much smaller things we all worry about and probably shouldn’t. Take care all and be good to each other :slightly_smiling_face:

Big hugs Caroline @carolinefrodsham - I was treated for a pilocytic astrocytoma almost 15 years ago and I got the all clear about 4 years ago, mine had slipped so was in my spinal cord rather than my brain but I can recommend a sh*t hot neurosurgeon if more surgery is needed.

That’s brilliant Sasha . I am so pleased you got the all clear. I will definitely ask you for the surgeons name , if more surgery could be the answer . At the moment they are in Bristol . The poor lad had planned to go to India ( lots of saving etc) and the night before he should’ve gone , he had a seizure and that was that :frowning:️ for his trip . I wonder if ‘they’ would allow him to ever go ?

Just caught up to here - that’s lot to be thinking about @carolinefrodsham, your positive thinking is remarkable and I’m sure it will give you the strength you need to be there for your loved ones, and so in turn give them some strength when most needed.

Here’s a couple from me:

Good morning - not quite such a bright day today.
Sorry to hear of all your bad news Caroline @carolinefrodsham, thoughts and hugs coming your way.

Not too sure what happened yesterday evening but ended up having dinner at about 11pm!..consequently late to bed and very sleepy this morning. Hoping to go for a day trip to Lyme Regis today, only been meaning to go for 2 years, so we shall see if it happens.

Spent yesterday finishing off a few projects and sorting stock for the weekends craft fair. Not got anything new to show you at the moment (still not brave enough to list my new Christmas stock!) so will go with a relist today

A few months after I had finished my radiotherapy (but was still having blood tests and MRIs) I went to Japan with the blessing of my oncologist (who had delayed going on sabbatical to oversee my treatment because I was ‘interesting’, not sure where he went on holiday). There had been some issues with getting travel insurance (circular arguments regarding what I’d had because obviously their computer knew better than I did and just wasn’t set up for those random cases that don’t quite fit the norm) but it wasn’t prohibitively expensive. A couple of years post treatment I shopped around a bit more and found that some insurers are very enlightened and so long as you are not undergoing active treatment or investigations (check ups are fine and they don’t count those against you) then they will give you very reasonable premiums. So he shouldn’t give up his dream of seeing the world (but perhaps choose a country with better healthcare than India just in case).

Thanks Sasha . That’s useful to know . I hope he will be able to fulfil something of what he had hoped to do .
