Toadstool clock red with fairy door hand painted.

This magical red toadstool clock featuring a little fairy door has been cut by hand from MDF and hand painted. Once I am happy with the fairy door and surrounding tree trunk I carefully paint the top of the toadstool red, shading it to give a 3D appearance. This usually takes me quite a while to get the blending of light to dark how I am happy with it! I then paint in all the white dots before adding a clock mechanism and full roman numeral dial. Finally I make a gift box just the right size for it so it is all ready for a new home. The clock is aprox 9" x 6" and comes complete with battery. A unique gift for a little girl or anyone with a little bit of magic in their heart.

The beach huts consist of two striped fabrics and a patterned fabric in lovely summery shades of golden yellow, red, blue, white and grey. Handmade fused glass sushi plate and dip bowl - summer bloom

These glass bowls were fused by me in my studio. The glass was heated up to around 800 degrees Celsius to melting point in a small glass fusing kiln and it was then brought to annealing temperature to make it strong. When cooled, glass decals were applied and then they were returned to the kiln for a fire polish, melting the designs permanently into the glass. They were then slumped into shape. This whole process takes over 24 hours to complete. This set of sushi plate and dipping bowl have a beautiful oriental flower design on marbled cream glass and have a glossy smooth surface. The sushi plate is approximately 14cm by 9cm and the dipping bowl 7.5cm square. They have been fully annealed to make it strong. This set would make a great gift or treat. Not suitable for children to play with - this is made from real glass and needs to be treated with respect - it may have sharp edges if broken.

Mottled, Yellow Leaf

Mottled, Yellow Leaf A fabulous gift for that special person... or for you to treat yourself to... This porcelain dish was impressed with a real leaf when the porcelain slab was still wet. The edges of the leaf were trimmed by hand. I then bisque fired it and mixture of underglazes and a final clear glaze applied. It was then fired at 1260 degrees centigrade. I have put plastic "feet" underneath to protect the surface you are going to put it on. It measures 12 X 13 cm. It can be cleaned with warm, soapy water (taking care of the plastic feet underneath!). Please do not put it in the dishwasher! It will make a lovely present for that special person in your life, or as a unique treat for yourself. Comes to you carefully packaged with bubble wrap, in a box.

The Orangutan Foundation saves orangutans by protecting their tropical forest habitat, working with local communities and promoting research and education. Musings 4 is an original mixed media on canvas with painted sides. it also features machine and hand embroidered textiles to make this piece unique, rich, vibrant and textural. The mixed media includes papers, foils and stamps which have been painted over with oils and then stitched onto by hand and with pieces machine stitched then attached to the canvas.
