I don’t have a huge Facebook following but I seem to have gained followers quickly on both Instagram and Pinterest. I like the Instagram hashtags, you can direct your posts hopefully at a relevant audience, in my case anoraks who potentially might appreciate my paintings of tractors and buses!
I think social media promotion should be viewed as a long term project. Followers may not want to buy your work right now, but hopefully one day…
