Let's play a little game

This made Tommy very cross…not only had he eaten his chocolate from the Advent Calendar but now wanted pancakes and gingerbread…Tommy began to wonder what rabbit pie tasted like…

But then the Bunicorn bounced over to him, wiggled his nose, and smiled beguilingly.

“I do apologise, where are my manners?” The Bunicorn said. “I’ve had a terribly long journey, with no chance to stop for snacks, and lack of food always makes me a bit abrupt.”

“Where have you been then?” asked Tommy…
“I have been to meet Rudolph and Santa” he replied" and while I was there, Santa told me that if I look in one of the Folksy shops I might find a surprise…"

“a surprise” said Tommy “at folksy”? Tommy thought for a moment then a smile crept across his face

“C’mon,” he said to the Bunicorn. We need to get you safely into my room so that Milly doesn’t see you, and then we can look at the Folksy site on my computer."

So Tommy dashed up the stairs to his room, closely followed by the Bunicorn.

Tommy powered up his computer, while the Bunicorn asked him how he found Windows 10! Then Tommy typed www.folksy.com into the search engine …

and OH DEAR, he got the " sorry " message…was the site down for maintenance?..He was getting desperate now…he wanted to find out what the surprise was…
Why did this always happen when he was in a hurry…was it going to be a good surprise?..

The Bunicorn had other more pressing issues.

“I’m huuuungry!” he said. “I need a cookie!”

“Tommy, cornflakes or porridge” shouted a voice from downstairs

“Yes, please,” shouted the Bunicorn. Tommy’s face was a picture of shock! He grabbed the Bunicorn and shoved him into the wardrobe.
Tommy ran to the top of the stairs and shouted “Yes, please, mum. Either one will be fine” Meanwhile a scratching and scraping noise was coming from the wardrobe.

Tommy quickly opened the cupboard and a flurry of large fluffy snowflakes burst magically into his room. Could the Bunicorn have found Narnia?

“Wow, snow!” gasped Tommy. He was about to grab a big handful to make a snowball, when the Bunicorn said:

“No, it’s not snow. It’s poop. Bunicorns poop snowflakes.”

Tommy tried to dive out of the way but ooops…he skidded on the bunny poopflakes…splat …he slid right underneath the bed…Now of course if only he had been able to eat the chocolate from the advent calendar he would have been too fat to slip under the bed…it just wasn’t Tommy’s day!
He called out for his sister…no one came…

Tommy could hear mum pottering about in the kitchen, he could see the melting pile of bunny poopflakes, he could see the wrapper of the advent box remains, but what he couldn’t see was the Bunicorn

You can’t leave it like that, where is the bunicorn? Will Tommy ever get out from under the bed? And what was the surprise??
