Linking Folksy to other buying platforms

I have recently been testing a Square Up online site alongside my Folksy shop as another way to promote my work. I noticed that Square Up has a relationship with Etsy where you can sync an Etsy Shop catalogue with a free Square Up shop. I was wondering if Folksy has ever tried this or would consider doing so as I really wish there was a better way to connect Folksy with social media and offline selling. I don’t feel its possible to make a living just from Folksy and if it could sync with Square Up or something similar it would really help sellers.

The problem with doing this is so many options around they would have to link with so many payment systems and no doubt would not be cheap for Folksy and the ultimately the sellers. Nothing is ever free.

I am sure it isn’t free but it’s also a confusing way to do business for the buyer if we are on multiple platforms. I personally would pay a higher Folksy subscription if I could sync it with a payment system that also offered a shop. I see some sellers are on multiple platforms and that is a lot if work as you can’t just cut and paste your descriptions or the search engines don’t see you. I am just throwing the question out there

Yes but which payment platform. I am on sumup and would not change as UK based. It would be a case of which one to choose and annoy the others.

Well it wouldnt be something that suits everyone but its good to have options. I have recently read a couple of books on craft business and they are written by successful sellers and they both say the same thing- don’t compete with yourself using different platforms and try and drive custom and traffic through one source.
I like selling on Folksy I think it is a great platform for British Crafters I just would like the option to tag on Social media and link the stock inventory to more than one place.

You could set up your own website and link square up or equivalent to it and drive and pay for your own advertising to it.
