Hi Folksy Friends,
I started up on Folksy end of January this year and it’s been exceedingly quiet so far. I’ve upped the anti with IG and joining in forums etc and getting lots of likes (just not sales) I’m using all the right tag lines, although when I search for items, a lot of mine are still not coming up at all. I’ve raised this with Folksy and they have agreed the search engine is not particularly accurate, so unless you know my shop name, it’s very hit and miss any of my items would be found. With that in mind I love the platform, and am aware it’s not in the scale of Etsy etc, so want to stick with it, but am accumulating a lot of stock as I make things. I’m new to craft fairs and wondered if anyone knows of any upcoming ones in the West Midlands area. Any advice greatly appreciated.

stallfinder.com is a good way of finding craft fairs (sorry I’m not in your area so can’t recommend any specific ones)

Do you belong to your Folksy Local Facebook page? That might be a good place to ask. I have heard good things about doing craft fairs recently, people have missed them so much and they are busy. xxx

I’ve just been to my 2nd craft fair this year. SOLD 5 items. For my 1st, I SOLD 2 items plus a bespoke table runner order. Went to Quilt & Craft Show, Glasgow yesterday and had a fabulous time spending all my pennies. Happy crafter.
