This morning has got away from me a bit, I’ve been busy playing with a new toy a Kindle scribe. I’m loving it, it will be good to have all my notes in one place, just will take some time copying them over from all my note books.
Sounds like your brother had a great racing career, Sue @Susieshackletontextiles ! My son Lewis had fun driving a supercar but hasn’t tried driving a racing car. He got a free photo with his package and this is the one he chose:
Also that’s good news about the wedding venue, Sue.
Lewis had his first Eurovision experience last night! The three of us ended up watching all of it - we usually give up partway through but ended up getting into it. Shame we got nil points in the viewer votes but they did ok in the jury voting.
Lewis looks like he’s enjoying himself immensely Judy @judyrowleyart he has the right name! Start him in go carts, thats what my brother did, racing around my grandfather’s farm with his cousins. He’s always had such an interest in cars and to be truthful not much else! Useful to me when I need to purchase a new 2nd hand one or need something doing. My brain switches off as I don’t need to know much at all
It is very, very quiet on here at the moment isn’t it! It happens from time to time. I’m not sure I have enough new stock to carry on through June so may drop out in June!
Lewis isn’t overly into cars - just likes to spot interesting cars and do the odd day driving experience - and of course he likes to drive my car everywhere!
Yes it is quiet here. I’m also low on new things to show, so may not join in for June but will see.
Hi all, apologies as I contributed to the quietness. I was away for the weekend and deliberately didn’t take my computer as I needed a complete break. We stayed with friends and spent a whole day wandering round beautiful private gardens for a charity open garden event. Totally relaxing.
Today’s listing is an textile inspiration bundle, themed around vintage floral Laura Ashley prints, including Wild Clematis.
It’s Monday and slightly overcast here in Surrey - which pretty much matches my mood after the emails I just read for my day job (such angry people who are directing their anger at the WRONG person). But I digress – spent my weekend doing leather related activities and making more lovely items … so at least I was productive, right?
Apologies I fell behind last week. I had a deadline that took over my life. All done now though. So I’m starting at the bottom and working my way up favouriting all your lovely crafts I may have missed.
I do have a question though. Do I have to go to the timeout step? If so, is there still cake?
Have a beautiful day you amazingly talented people
@AlbionEnchantments …there is always cake on the naughty step…so you are always welcome…just waiting for Tesco with donuts and chocolate eclairs…be quick…nom nom nom…x
I’m probably going to dip out until July as I’ve lost my mojo and don’t want to bore you with relists every day. I could join you for eclairs on the naughty step and just be grumpy instead of naughty if that’s ok?
always welcome Hilary… @kokoblue
This group is disappearing…
For myself with over 450 items in my shop I will have to start showing some relists soon or the house will be taken over with paintings and cards …I paint 3 or 4 cards a day and of course they don’t sell that quickly ( I wish) but perhaps I need to slow down…when I think back, I have listed one item a day for over 5 years now and not missed a day, as I don’t have holidays…so it will have to be relists or leave for a while and with so few of us left ( HI Caroline @Caroleecrafts ), I fear that this thread might disappear… and we don’t want that do we ?
It would be such a shame.
Sadly I think a lot of people are giving up or slowing down because of the state of the economy lately but I wouldn’t know what to do without an afternoon of painting (Or some sort of crafting )…and don’t anyone suggest housework…heaven forbid !!!
I may have to join you on the nighty step too Hilary, not that I have been naughty. May have stepped on an ant and committed murder without realising. So quiet on here now, I am not making as much so will have to do relists or not bother that day. Still going to join in the convo’s though.
Sorry, I have been invisible for the last two days, though I have been coming on here and loving you all. Firstly we had a craft fair on Saturday, which was great for me, but less so for Francis, and then we went from visiting my sister to a birthday meal out with our grandson, who’s 16 years old today, and celebrating by taking a GCSE exam in Chemistry.
I have just seen why I have been feeling totally disillusioned with Folksy lately. Over the course of the last FOUR WEEKS at craft fairs I have made the same number of sales as I have on Folksy over the last SEVEN YEARS! Yet I spend hours every day promoting Folksy and promote it hard at live fairs. I’m sorry, Folksy, I love your expressed ethos and have made lots of friends on this thread in particular, but maybe enough is enough?
A relist today: Bee for a baby
