MAY 2025 Daily Listing Challenge and Promotion Thread

Just popping in to say we nearly were at the same event, but weren’t! Our sons girlfriend was due to run the Hackney half on Sunday but had to drop out as she broke a finger a few days before and had it in a temporary splint awaiting a decision on surgery, and was dosed up with painkillers. Decision now made not to operate and she has a proper cast while it heals.

I might join in the thread properly for the last week of the month. I think I have enough items that haven’t already been on this thread, though many of you will have seen them on other threads. I will see next week.

Evening,

I hope things get sorted out soon, Hilary @kokoblue it’s so inconsiderate and annoying. Sending big hugs to all. XXX
Oh, Susan @SusanBettyArt Rover is a rascal! I hope he recovers quickly and finds his forever home soon. XXX
Nothing from me today. I couldn’t believe how quiet it was when I came on Sunday evening to catch up.

Have a lovely evening :smiling_face_with_three_hearts::smiling_face_with_three_hearts::smiling_face_with_three_hearts::smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Morning all

Waiting for the rain to to start, did not water last night now wonder if I should have. The weather widget keeps changing like the wind!

Sister and BIL coming for coffee tomorrow, invited themselves, lol. As know they never get up much before 8:30 going to be a long day.

Morning everyone,

We went to a craft centre/garden centre yesterday. Not very impressed with the cafe! Ordered oat milk and one had ordinary milk in it, not good if we had a severe reaction, we don’t but! And the scones were tough, tescos own are better. I used to hire a space at the craft centre, on a weekly basis several times a year and did quite well and there’s an empty unit at the moment, I’m not enticed to take it on though, I just can’t be bothered anymore.
The plant nursery was absolutely extortionate, like £16 for a pack of bedding plants. what! I shall head down to our local market to see if I’m really out of touch. Still miss my local nursery man who became too ill to carry on.

Good morning.
How inconsiderate of the surgeon, cancelling the op at such short notice. I hope you are still able to go on your holiday Hillary @kokoblue .

I hope Rover recovers from his operation well and finds his forever home soon @SusanBettyArt .

Morning all, I am really sorry but after today I am going to have to drop out.
We had a builder booked for our bathroom, bathroom delivered and stacked in spare room and skip on the drive and the builder has had a crash on his motorbike. He is ok but unable to work so we have decided to tackle the bathroom ourselves.
Going to be busy with tools taking tiles off the wall, yay :grimacing:

That is such a shame Donna @underneaththeeaves

Hoperfully you will come back to us in June or July xx

£16? I know plants have gone up but thankfully our local farm is £3.99 per pack. Garden centres about £4.99.

Good luck Donna, it’ll be really satisfying when it’s done to know you did it yourselves. See you soon

Hello all

Expecting a nice rainshower for the garden this morning, but ended up with drizzle!

Sorry to hear about your SiL’s operation, Hilary @kokoblue - very annoying for you all. I hope you don’t have to cancel your holiday.

Also sorry to hear about Rover, Susan @SusanBettyArt - I hope he recovers soon and they can find him a forever home. It’s lovely that he’s got you to depend on in the meantime though.

Good luck with the bathroom, Donna @underneaththeeaves

Here’s a pair of bee gift tags from me today:

Hello,

Here’s something new from me today

Thats the sort of price I was thinking of Caroline. The nursery we used before that closed was even cheaper. He was always so incredibly busy, open only twice a year for summer and autumn bedding plants and you had to make sure you went early enough so he wasn’t sold out.

Afternoon everyone

Hope Rover is OK after his op Susan @SusanBettyArt …..poor little thing xx

6 sales to report please Corinna @quaverlyric x

I’ve been to a few garden centres recently looking for some specific plants and blimey, the prices have almost doubled in the last year! I would normally pay around £5-£7 for a smallish perennial plant but now they all seem to be between £12-£16!
I’ve managed to grow some marigolds and snap dragons from seeds this year but all my other stuff has failed even my tomato plants! I did manage to get some of them up the car boot sale for £1 each.
I resorted to ordering some plants from eBay. The postage came to £6 for two plants and I must admit they didn’t look too happy when they arrived after being in a box for 5 days. 1 was a lilac and the other was a Brazilian fuschia, so we’ll have to see how they fare in the next week. The fuschia is taking ok but the lilac is really dropping it;s leaves!

My listing today is:
