I have just seen that one of my Book Cover Bags is on the Front Page Pinterest board.
I have been on twice this week now - very chuffed!
The person who curated the board is on holiday but just have a look at her shop!
She has some seriously funny greetings cards!

Just been to the shop to find a new girl working there so I’m guessing I didn’t get the job. I was told at the interview I would get a phone call in a week or two, that was 7 weeks ago!
All caught up. So sorry about the job Carol. Companies are so rude these days. It would have been nice to have been told the results of the interview at least.
Gorgeous items again everyone. Off to put my son to bed then make a cuppa before making a butty!
Afternoon, rainy here too. Enjoyed our lil break in Northumberland, great place, lots of walking done, visiting Hadrians Wall and lovely walks at River South Tyne.
Here is a recent listing
Hope good news re health for all poorly members of family
Just spotted this necklace in my shop that could do with a little love. I think it could be one of my oldest pieces, so will have to be dismantled and the findings re-used or de-stashed if it doesn’t sell
Bloomin’ 'eck, I’m keeping up with the thread and then just realised that I hadn’t actually listed anything today, so thought I’d better rectify that right now.
First up are a couple of relists. I absolutely adore these corking beads, but they do seem to lying around without much love. I thought they were a sure seller, but obviously not.
Jacqueline I kind of expect a no reply from a big company (although it is still rude) but I am in this shop everyday as that is where my post office is situated.
Hubs has applied for his old job back where he worked 2 years ago on a temporary contract but this time it is for a permanent position. He would get standard working hours, not like where he does now where his hours can change at the drop of a hat and they are phoning him up calling him in early and totally changing his hours (this week is supposed to be 2pm-10 pm. Monday he gets a call at 9.30, can he go in asap, gets there for 11.30 then finished at 9pm, then Tued, Wed and today has worked 10am - 6pm) and the other place pays time and half for overtime whereas his current job pays flat rate. He is also only guaranteed 28hrs at his current place, although it has never dropped below 40 hours, it could happen and the other place is guaranteed 45hrs. The only thing is, if the wages are the same as 2yrs ago, based on basic working hrs it is £10 a week less so if he gets the job (he has an interview next week) we will have to weigh up the risk. If he done just one Saturday a month (the overtime is worked Saturdays) at the new place then he would be better off than where he is.
Both my brothers are out of work due to redundancies and only get bits and pieces from agencies. One of them got a call on Monday to say they had work for him on Tuesday and within 30mins they had rung again to say they hadn’t got work. That’s what it’s like all the time with agencies. Both my brothers, hubs and I all worked at the same place and after getting made redundant 3yrs ago hubs is the only one who has got a ‘proper’ job and that took him 2yrs to get, was on the temporary contract before that.
Sorry to rant but the job situation is dia… and the MP’s say things are getting better. Perhaps they’d like to tell that to the family of that young lad who took his own life due to all the job rejections he received.
It is just so hard for so many people at the moment. I do hope things will improve for you and your family soon, Carol. I don’t think the ‘big wigs’ who have nothing to worry about and six figure salaries can understand what it really is like for us ordinary folk, trying to scrape a living, taking any job we can, just to put food on the table for our children and keep a roof over our heads. My hubby is on a three day week and we have four children to support. Our house is too small ( two bedroom and a box room not big enough for a bed) but we can’t afford the house we need. I don’t know what we will do. I just keep plugging away on Folksy in the hope some day, I get a lucky break. I can not imagine how the families of the young man who took his life feel. I pray the MP’s will see this and take more action to help the ‘average’ person, so this desperation can ease.
