Oh, I’m all of a lather - pinnings not working and I just found a whole chunk of the thread that I’d missed out as the bookmarking thingy just passed it by, but I’m all caught up now - just with fave-ing, as that’s all I can do right now.
I bought in a huge amount of buttons in Feb - the first money I’d spent on the shop for 2 1/2 years - and wouldn’t you know it? I’ve hardly sold a button since, so I could really do with shifting some.
I have found that going back and forth between here and items to fave them takes a long time, so one at a time, I intend to go to your shops and click as many items in your shop as I can…I hope that is ok…it seems a better way to do it for me and you get a lot more clicks that way…
I will do a few each day…it is so much quicker when in a shop to whizz along and click the hearts on them all.
I don’t know whether I’m coming or going, today, I’m a complete cabbage!!
Happy birthday, Jaqueline. And I hope your ribs get better soon, Steph, @stephshortstationery My fella fainted in the shower and came to hanging over the side of the bath and cracked quite a few ribs in the process, so I know how much pain you must be in - what have you been doing? Or did I miss that piece of news on the thread? Also, no notebooks as yet, but we’ll wait until tomorrow - did you put the wrong address on again? That’s one of the reasons why I use the PP postage system, as it gets printed out for you.
Natalie, I think you missed my sales from yesterday, which is not surprising as the thread is getting lovely and busy with lots of new (to me) faces - so my tally is 6 for May so far. Thanks.
Brenda @teabreaks I know what you mean about favouriting all the items, it does take a while and is not great for RSI sufferers like you and I, and I know your RSI is worse than mine. That’s why I gave up on pinterest, it hurts my wrist. Your plan of action sounds a good alternative to me. Personally I’ll continue to visit the thread a few times each day and click and fave a few at a time.
Does folksy somehow monitor how many people visit a listing and use this information to increase promotion of said item? Otherwise I can’t see how just clicking on a link and not taking any action (favouriting/pinning/tweeting) can benefit anyone.
Just want to make sure I am helping others as much as possible without it taking over my life!
I believe so @Rozcraftz although I’ve never heard it officially. More people are favouriting as well, as someone on here said that that is also supposed to put our items higher up the search.
The items which have been favourite the most also get featured at the top of each section now. So when you click on beads for example it will show the beads which are most favourite.
Back in from work! Phew what a day! No chance to log in and check how everyone was doing!
Think I have everyone’s sales on the tally now, please shout if I have missed anyone! Happy dancing queens!
Happy birthday Jacqueline and I hope you are feeling better soon! And look with your birthday sale!
Hope Dr’s, dentists and hospital apps went ok and everyone is on the mend or getting the treatment and care that they need!
Pinning is an on off affair at times I find, and the idea that clicking the piccie link means that we are all at least participating in and supporting each other’s listings and also please remember we may all be sellers, but we are buyers too, you never know that the person who clicks on your items might actually purchase it, so it is only fair to reciprocate by clicking too!
However you find it easiest to support your fellow May Queen in the promotion stakes, is fine with the club! Some twitter, some pin, some Facebook, some blog, etc… There are no hard and fast rules, whatever you can do is always a bonus! Thank you!
