I’m not surprised you have no time for social media with so many outlets and a weekly stall, but it sounds like you’re doing very well without it anyway! Thanks for the advice about cropping my photos. All my items in my shop on Etsy are centralised in the photos and I hadn’t realised they needed to be square on this site to look the same, so thanks for the tip

Thank you so much to everyone for all your lovely comments and words of encouragement. As someone who is relatively new to the forum, it is good to know that there are so many kind and supportive fellow crafters out there!

Thanks Natasha. You have some lovely ribbons and buttons - I’ll definitely keep your shop in mind next time I’m in need of more trimmings for my items

@LavenderBluDesigns - my Fire and Ice cushion arrived today and is as stunning as expected. I bought it for myself as a special present. The fact it is hand stitched makes it very special, I shall treasure it!

Thanks Margaret. I’m so pleased that you are happy with the cushion and your kind words really mean a lot. I once had someone at a craft fair tell me that they liked my hand-stitched cream linen scottie dog, but thought I was charging a lot for it, because they could get the same kind of thing for around £7 from Primark!! It’s therefore encouraging for me to know that there are people out there that appreciate the time and work that goes into hand-stitched items

You’re not aiming your items at Primark customers though, you’re trying to attract discerning customers who appreciate the time and effort that goes into handmade, and who value something unique rather than a cheap item that thousands of others also have. I appreciate the time that’s gone into sourcing the beautiful fabrics and then the way you’ve put them together to make this lovely design. There’s the fact that a real person has spent time hand stitching this cushion, it’s not been mass produced by machine like the ones I could buy in the shops. That all adds to the value as far as I’m concerned. I’ll go and leave you some feedback now before I forget, I was at work and very busy when I left the comment here earlier

Well done - it’s nice to hear when people make their first (and second!!) sale!

Many thanks for the lovely feedback Margaret

Thanks Heidi
