Just picked up my son from his first trial day this weekend, 8.30 to 6.30, he’s a touch tired but raring for his day tomorrow! They are already talking about him doing hours on a Friday and Monday too, so I think his first trial day went well!
Well done to your son, Natalie. It does sound good for him.The thought of 8.30am to 6.30pm fills me with horror,but you can conquer anything when you are young and he’ll certainly like the money coming in. Good on him.
Now I’m going to get my book out for a bit before Dr. Who. OH is working tonight, so I might get a chance to watch in on the tele rather than catch up,which is always a bit grainy.

Thank you all for your kind words on Simon’s first day at work! Bless him I think he will sleep well tonight! It’s not so much physically demanding, but concentrating for that length of time, learning the ropes, whilst actually serving customers etc… Plus it is a fully standing job, no room for seating, I can tell on his voice he was pooped! But he’ll be bouncing and raring to go tomorrow!
