Post a pic and the name of your pet

Meet Lennie , AKA Sir Leonard Humbug, he 's a 3 year old male and loves to snuggle under duvets and covers, he’s a real sweetie. Me and my partner adopted him 8 months a go from the RSPCA.

He’s very cute! Great idea for a thread

Lady Jane Willoughby, diva and supermodel.

Adopted from the RSPCA to be partnered with Buttercup, but decided she was going to be a solo house bunny instead. I was going to call her Willow, and the RSPCA had named her Jane (as in Plain Jane cos she was small and brown and scruffy when she was there) - so I incorporated both names into her current name

Pics of other pets to follow!

Dandelion & Clover.
Have had them 4 and a half years. They were dumped where I worked, along with Buttercup and Blackberry (who sadly passed at a young age :frowning: )

They are outdoor bunnies but still very pampered

Buttercup, otherwise known as Butters, Butterball, Utterly Butterly, Utterly Butterly Bunkum…etc! Like Clover, we named him when we thought he was a she lol.

All my bunnies are neutered and vaccinated with lots and lots of living space

This is one of our furry girls, she is always around to supervise any work in progress, (it’s the heat of the lamp she loves on her back).

She goes by many names from Belle, to Blubs to Panther Pants.

Her sister is rather more camera shy but will be appearing shortly as a limited edition print…

This is a brilliant thread. I flippin’ love bunnies. I’m off-duty for the day now, so I’m joining in just for fun.

This is Mia. She’s a bit emotionally scarred. We took her in about 6 years ago - she was dumped at a farm (why do people do that?) with her siblings when they had just reached adulthood. She was the only one who got away from the farm dog :frowning:

Oh while I’m here. I’m just bringing this up because someone at Folksy, who shall remain nameless, accidentally let slip that they like to dress their pets in fancy homemade outfits. Are they unusual, or do you dress up you pets? I’d totally try dressing Mia but she’d have my hand off. The closest I got was balancing a half-made crochet bauble on her head like a little hat.

Are you spilling my secrets?

I think you just outed yourself. I do want to see photo evidence though.

Just for Sian, here is a cat I know who is sometimes dressed up in special outfits. Not by me, of course. Because that would be wrong. But she does look oh-so-smart in that bobble hat.

Hey, we’ve got a teacake captain!

Dressing up moggies never…just don’t look in the bottom drawer…

Gorgeous cats

As for dressing up - some dogs enjoy it, I think cats are tolerant but disdainful of it, but smaller furries like rabbits and guinea pigs should never be dressed up - they have such fragile bones, and rabbits especially, will panic and could seriously hurt themselves. Even putting a harness on a rabbit can result in injury, so if bunny says no they have to be respected.

This is a far as we ever go in acessorising the furry family (she consequently trashed the hat LOL!):

we’re petless at the moment because we’re renting for a few years and the landlords have been strict. Our last cat died a few years ago at the ripe old age of 17 and was a self-taught toilet user!

we always thought of him as a bit slow until he surprised us with his party trick!

he never flushed though

Fascinated…how did you teach it to use the loo and was there ever an occasion when clever mog slid back down the pan?

So wish we could get our two to perform such a trick.

We really didn’t teach him, he learnt all by himself.

It’s a daft story really. The kids had all left home, just me and MrNifty.

Several mornings when I got up, I discovered the loo had been used but not flushed. I blamed MrNifty.

Several mornings when HE got up, same thing - but he blamed me!

Neither of us said anything.

Then one morning, we were both still in bed, and heard the unmistakeable sound of someone having a pee!

Well - we didn’t know what to think, a burglar caught short maybe?

Anyway, leapt out of bed and spotted the cat slinking away. Several days later - caught him in the act, and from then on the camera never left me!

Strangely he was a VERY clumsy cat, always knocking things over - but never fell down the loo, no.
