It is, the post office accepted my Austria parcel about an hour before the email was sent to post offices not to accept.
I presume it’ll be sittting in a container somewhere for weeks and weeks now!
On Thursday I sent a parcel from Derbyshire to daughter in London. Tracked. It went to Nottingham for a couple of days. Now it’s in Gateshead. That’s the opposite direction and the opposite end of the country to where it’s supposed to be going. Melt down or poor sense of direction ? I do hope there is some sort of logic in it.
My OH ordered something from Amazon that just need to get from Greenock to Ayr which is just a short hop down the west coast of Scotland. For some reason it by passed us and went on a tour of the country, including a mini break in Dudley!
I think anything going anywhere near London is likely to go on a bit of a mystery tour first… but I sent a tracked package from Wirral to Macclesfield yesterday and it is showing as delivered today (phew!) so not everywhere is bad.
Oh my goodness, @feelfeltfound, that did make me laugh.
Apparently my parcel has just arrived in Romford, so we are getting there slowly.
