Maggie @MaggieGeeNeedleworkStudio Folksy fee’s pay for our listings and the use of Folksys software and support staff.
I don’t think we can complain it’s up to us as shop owners to do the promotional work.
Think of it like this if I had a shop in a shopping centre or parade of shops I’d pay my rent for the shop space. I would not then expect my landlord to advertise my shop I’m paying for rented space only.
That’s what we do on folky they are our landlords we are renting space for our shops in a virtual shopping centre/ or high street.
Although I agree you cannot expect Folksy to promote our individual shops, but they could do more to promote Folksy as a whole.
Using what you have said about the shopping centre… they do promote the shopping centre to encourage people to go there and spend their money.
Thanks for the tip (y) I will do the same using my own words. I do promote everywhere and I still hardly get any views. I do it via FB, Pinterest, WeHearIt, Tumblr, Twitter etc and still zilch :frowning
Just posted on both my Facebook pages and my Facebook personal page. Think I will try and make it a regular thing. Hoping it helps to bring people over.
Here’s another opportunity, I contacted Folksy Admin and asked if they had any objection to having a facbook group set up for folksy shop owners to post to. They said it would be fine, so here you go come on over and join in https://www.facebook.com/groups/1481471495437850/
Not got enough time to sort icon or banner yet as I’m just off to art club so it will be added a bit later on
Thank you! I have just joined, but had to do so using my personal page, which I don’t use much except for family stuff, not my KB Creations page.
