Variations! Sneak peek of where we're up to and how it looks!

Hi everyone. Lots of you have been asking about variations and where we’re up to so Doug has made a little video, showing what’s been going on behind the scenes, how it will look and what you’re going to be able to do once it’s live (hopefully by the middle of October, if not before).

We’ve posted it in the Folksy Clubhouse Facebook Group so head over there, watch the video and let us know if you have any questions!

@folksycontent. So glad it’s on the cards to be released soon, looking forward to it. Unfortunately I can’t have a look at the video as I don’t do Facebook and it’s not something I intend to do.

@dougfolksy @folksycontent Just had a view on the pc (as too small on my phone). Looking excellent. Can’t wait to get going.

It’s looking good…
Just a thought, with the variations we will be able to offer on each listing, it would be useful to be able to add more than 5 photographs to show the different choices to customers. Is this possible? @dougfolksy

I agree Lynn, @erkinwald, I don’t like FB, but I have created an account
purely so I can join in with the Folksy groups and see what is going on.

Closed my FB account because of viruses and no plans to reopen. I welcome whatever you can give us on variations. Fingers crossed it will apply to my listings.

Hi Amanda. Whenever anyone asks to join our FB group they are asked to answer three questions. Everyone who has answered the questions so far has been approved. I think you should be able to submit your application again and/or answer the questions. We aim to approve everyone the same day.

We’ve uploaded the video to Vimeo so sellers who don’t have Facebook can watch it on there https://vimeo.com/292085716

Yes the only other option would be to have to create collages and that would be a pain in the

I tried to create collages on my PC (makes it easier to share multiple photos of an item on FB) but the photo editing on our PC doesn’t have that function :frowning: My phone does have this function but it’s more difficult to take clear photos on that

I bought Collage Maker version 3.8 a few months ago as I really needed something. It ‘does the job’ when I need it.

You can download free apps to your PC that do this. I have Pic Collage. The app was free and I think I paid something like 48p extra so that I could save my collages in HD. There are quite a few different ones.

I do collages on Pic Monkey - pretty easy ,

I also did my banner on there too - including changing the colour of my design for the background
