Those brushes are crying out to be sorted and straightened!
@MichaelTerryArtisanJewellery Those brushes are freaking me outâŚtoo clean!!!
This is my favourite butterfly, Peacock, which seemed to want to have itâs photo taken!! I LOVE the pattern in the wings.
They wonât be clean for long. Very satisfying to give them a deep clean once a year.
Lovely picture, love butterflies.
Thatâs brilliant!!!
This is an old studio photo I took to use as my logo when I did freelance graphic design.

Looks like you need a steady hand for your painting , the waves may be an issue
I used to have a workshop on a narrow boat - it was idylic and the light and reflections were wonderful.
Good point. I never thought of that
. Many thanks.
We call this our âyellow pom-pom bushâ. It grows in the bottom corner of our garden near my workshop. It is always the first bush to flower in our garden and its bright yellow brings promise of summer. Does anyone know what it really is?
We have this plant in our garden, I didnât know what it was either, so I looked it up.
Found this: http://www.maggiesgarden.com/Plant_Profiles/Plant_This/Kerria_japonica_/kerria_japonica_.html
Thank you. âJapanese Roseâ I like that name - I may use this if I can master its style. Very interesting, ours is about eight feet tall and is allowed to grow freely. I love it. Thanks again.
No problem, ours used to be fairly tall until someone thought it âneeded a pruneâ! I was not very happy! At least it grows fairly quickly!
Yes Michael @MichaelTerryArtisanJewellery itâs Kerria, Iâve also known it to be called soldiers buttons, I lost my little cutting of one to my Greyhound who is very good at excavatingâŚ
âSoldiers buttonsâ. That sounds very evocative. I am looking to introduce hand-painted lapel pins into my shop and I think that this now becomes my first subject to be painted for these. So thank you very much indeed.
