Please get rid of the Lounge, it’s caused too much trouble lately and would be better discontinued.

I’d only just found my way into the lounge and wouldn’t miss it if it went. I think the private sellers’ area for sensitive issues is a good idea.

I’ve only just started to join in on the forums again and so didn’t really know about the ‘Lounge’. I agree, though, that there should be a ‘Sellers Only’ part of the forum. Aside from practical or technical advice it seems to me that sellers do sometimes need a ‘sympathetic ear’ - which only other sellers on here can provide. It’s not unreasonable for sellers (who are paying fees after all) to expect a little privacy in this way.

Indeed as we might need to ask advice on how to handle a salel gone wrong without posting it all on an open forum that the whole world can read.

In a company you’d be able to discuss those sort of issues within the company and therefore keep them private. We need could do with the same sort of thing. I doubt we’d have many of them but every now and then someone will need some advice and help.

I am very much in favour of closing the Lounge and hopefully the ability of those in the Lounge to be able to edit another’s post or title, the exception of course being Folksy admin.

I believe that it’s only thread titles and locations they can alter. But yes I think that only Admin should be able to do this.

I think it’s helpful if regulars can move threads to the right category - I know I’ve struggled to place threads from time to time. I’m easy about the editing titles bit, it’s not something that I would use but I wouldn’t mind if someone else wanted to correct my spelling or grammar.

Same for mee, no problem with that at all. If I forget to categorise then anyone who can please feel free to do it for me. if I misspell my title, same here.

To tell you the truth I would be VERY happy that someone changed by thread title if I had misspelt something (which I’m always doing).

My opinion is the lounge should go and a sellers only section would be handy if it’s possible.

An area only for sellers is definitely a good idea so we can discuss sensitive issues that the whole world doesn’t need to know about.

It is very strange to read that the Lounge has caused so much distress. It doesn’t bother me one bit.

I don’t mind whatever Folksy decides!
