Being small isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, I’m almost 5ft bar a half inch and buy clothes is a nightmare I either have to turn up clothes or buy kids and I do not want to be wearing clothes with kiddie prints on them, plus I can’t reach the middle and top shelf in the kitchen, so guess where hubby puts all the cakes lol
That’s a really lovely idea, I can’t wait to decorate them when they’re dry, I’ll have to find some moss
Oh I never thought about any of that, we always want to be different to how we are, in my younger days I felt very self conscious about being tall if I wore heels, then my son grew to 6ft 5" so it was ok next to him also years ago there wern’t as many options in trouser lengths for taller ladies, things are much better now. I laughed at your hubby putting the cakes on the top shelf … I would keep a stool at hand
Hobbycraft have dried moss, reindeer moss for crafts…I’ve just spent a fortune in there this month, 4 orders so far (I’m sitting on my hands now)
My Folksy shop is almost empty, because hot on the heels of my summer craft fairs came a lovely (but huge) custom order.
I’m about to cut this £600 piece of Harris Tweed into many small pieces.
Then I’m going to lay down in a darkened room for a while!
The order is due at the end of August, so hopefully I can add some new listings in September.
Hello…
Putting together a dragonflies wedding card today from a sale on the other side! For some strange reason I have sold a lot of these cards over the years since around 2012 on E, been here on Folksy the same amount of time, though on and off over the years and have never sold one here?! So odd.
Anyway… the dragonflies version seems rather popular at the moment but I also have a butterflies version, along with single dragonfly/butterfly and some heart designs.
Seem to stick to the ivory and gold as that was usually the one that sold most. Have done white and silver in the past and white/black as well, along with a winter version with snowflakes.
Ooo thank you, I’ll have a look. Hobbycraft is a bit of a nightmare isn’t it! There’s always things you didn’t realise you needed
Constantly Hilary…I have spent a small fortune recently on wood slices, think i have gone overboard and bought all of the supplies from their Hull depot then I bought loads of moss, dried berries etc …I dread new ideas popping into my head as I always need an extension on the mortgage to buy everything that i think i might need
.
That makes me smile , I agree, what is it about those ideas that just pop in your head for no reason:joy:. Luckily our nearest Hobbycraft is 45 minutes away so it’s not easy to pop in or I’d be totally broke by now!
We don’t live near the town either…goodness knows what I would do if it was on my doorstep
Lovely colours Brenda and a huge amount of work!
Here’s what’s on my craft table although its a long way off being completed, maybe another 4 hours. Can you guess what it’s going to become?
This is very cute Sue!
I absolutely love it!
Perfect little puddings!
