Hi, i think i ive done everything to promote sales, but i haven’t any likes or favourites or sales. Any more tips please. At the stage where Im making them and wondering why. Lots of views on Instagram and Facebook but alot of competition too. Thankyou in advance for comments and suggestions. Lori Glitzybitz66
Why not join in the Daily listing challenge thread? That guarantees lots of likes, and a brief moment on Folksy’s front page. It takes time each day ( instructions are at the beginning of the thread), but might result in a sale. I have done it about 4 times now, for different months, and had 2 sales which definitely came from it. But, apart from sales, it is great fun!

Hi Lori, I think your shop looks good and you have lovely feedback. But I think your social pages need work. The IG button on your Folksy shop doesn’t work (not for me, at least!), if you can’t link it to your IG page, I’d just get rid of it if I were you. Your FB page says you are a digital creator, I understand that as something quite different from someone who crafts beautiful jewellery. I think that this is a personal profile page you are using at the moment on FB? I’m sure you’d be better off creating a spin-off page just for Glitzybitz to help build your following.

Hi..thankyou for your helpful reply, im new to Folksy and especially Instgram. When you tapped my link where did you do it and what happened.?Cos I tap on My Profile and it comes with 2 links to choose from, and it works for me. Must admit don’t understand any of this. You are the 2nd person to say it doesn’t work for them. It does for me …weird.. don’t get it. I have changed FB from Digital to Artist, I just do it for fun, can’t get used to calling myself an artist. Sold 250 on Vinted but got accused of being a commercial seller, they didn’t believe I was doing it for fun and I got banned. I really never knew it would take off the way it did. Anyway thankyou again…sorry for waffling..Lori

On the front page of your Folksy shop, towards the bottom, there’s the buttons which should connect to your social media. They sit between the bottom of your ‘about’ section and your reviews. When I click on the IG button, it takes me to instagram but says ‘This page is not available’
Hi again, ive looked into Instagram page not available..and apparently if you are not logged into Instagram too is shows Not Available. Does that make sense.? Im useless with all this gobbledegook..
It’s a mystery to me then because I am definitely logged in on IG and have just clicked through successfully from 4 other Folksy shops, but not from yours, your link doesn’t work for me. Sorry I wasn’t much help

If you right click the link you can copy it and then paste it somewhere to see what it actually looks like and it neither looks right nor works,
Perhaps it would help if you gave us your IG name

I managed to track down your IG account - your handle is lorijean.70 . The link you should be using is https:/ /www.instagram.com/lorijean.70 (I’ve added in a space so that you can see it, you would need to remove the space)
