Are my photos good enough?

I’m reasonably happy with the photos I’ve taken of my products, but I’d be interested to know other people’s perspectives. Do you think my photos are good enough? Is there a way I could improve them? Here’s a link to my shop to check them out: Felt Tree on Folksy

I think your photos are very clear and bright and your items are lovely. But I wouldn’t know at a quick glance that you are selling a mobile rather than a group of toys. perhaps use a hanging photo as your main image?

Hi there. The only thing I would say is that I didn’t know it was a mobile, just a group of very lovely felt things! I wonder if you should put the mobile pic first (with a bright white background). I use Snapseed which is a free photo app. Your mobiles are great, by the way. Hope that helps a bit.:blush:

I had no idea it was a mobile until I read the description. I photo of it hanging in a bedroom would be good for your first photo.

I also didn’t realise that they were mobiles, and agree that leading with a hanging image may be a good idea. I’m also not getting any sense of scale, so maybe try a hanging shot with something else in the image to show the size?

I can only echo what others are saying, I would definitely use a hanging image as the first one. I think they’re really good photos but if you had some time to play around with editing you might be able to get them brighter and those colours popping a little more? I know many people like to see ‘lifestyle’ shots of decor too but that’s not the easiest thing to stage… unless you know someone with a beautifully set up baby room right now :laughing:

Lovely pictures and products. I see you have the shots of them hanging but its not entirely clear they are a mobile. Perhaps including a photo of a hand holding one, or a shot in a room. I’d make sure to add ‘nursery’ or ‘nursery gift’ to all your tags, I only spotted it on one of them. Also, consider changing your titles to show as (product type) Baby Mobile first, then the rest of the title. Most people searching for baby mobiles would type that in first, rather than under the sea etc. Hope this helps, good luck
