Here is the place to show and chat about art.
Kim @konyskiw thanks so much for that info on uploads, it was very useful. I am taking, editing via snapseed and uploading from my phone. I tried emailing the pics to myself and uploading from my laptop - there’s no difference in the image quality so at least I know that it’s not an issue with phone uploads. I can’t downsize in snapseed, but I can sharpen, so I’ll have a play around with that and see what happens.
What feels like 3 hours later…things I have learnt…
- I drink too much coffee
- Sharpening does help but it’s possible to make your pics look way better than the real thing
Hi everyone;
Loving your little bee aceo Steph, funny that you should mention bees as yesterday I finished a bee design for a new card etc. Not a very good photo though, it was taken on my phone for instagram.
Hi everyone, hope you are all well. I’ve been on hols, not done any painting for a week or so but took lots of photos to work from. I did this earlier today, Avocet, watercolour on hot pressed paper.
Love your little bee Tina, I hope he doesn’t get eaten by Graham’s gorgeous Avocet!
Today I have a daffodil
Lovely, Stephanie - bright and cheerful - and the photo shows it off to perfection! I just spotted this on the Front Page too.
Good morning all…great to see the fabulous art.
Today I have a hand painted (original) card

Lovely work ladies
Good morning everyone. Stuff Going On here at Clifford HQ means I’m not doing much art at the moment. But I have started working through rewriting all my listing descriptions (run out of adjectives now…).I’ve redone the photos for the oldest of my Originals listings, which desperately needed it. Now I’m on to the Prints - they need new ‘outdoor’ photos as soon as the weather is right, and in the meantime I’m re-doing all the scans and checking they are really detailed and best colour matches I can get. That’s still WIP. Gosh, this is a job …
Always so much to do.
Well done Helen, you sound exhaustingly busy!
I’ve got a puppy staying this week but he’s 18 months old so shouldn’t be too taxing.
Brenda I’m doing everything from my phone at the moment because I can’t make a decision about a new laptop! I’ve deleted everything off my old one and am keeping it just for scans, which it seems to handle, just. Trouble is, I need to scan at such a high resolution for the magazine work that I have to have a powerful machine. Which means expense. So I’m hobbling on.I just sent them a file that was 97mb
Edit: the point of that story is that I don’t have an image upload icon, so I’m pasting the image address instead.
My latest…
Stephie @StephanieGuy would you believe that one of those just flew in through our patio doors…took us a while to coax it back outside again…lol…
Hope you find a suitable laptop x

And some flowers. These are doing fabulously in our garden, they’re so colourful and come back year after year without any intervention.
