Loving the work, particularly the abstract eye @StephanieGuy. Hope your flash sale has gone well. I know what you mean about sales. I was selling regularly here until about three months ago, but it has now fallen off a cliff. However, over the same period my dark side sales have gone up. I find online marketplace behaviour a bit puzzling!
Two of my latest offerings, smallish 9" x 6" paintings of Cawsand and Zennor respectively. They are at the extreme opposite ends of Cornwall, both among my favourite places on Earth.

My card is based on a watercolour painting of two baby orphaned owls called Willow and Twiglet I donate to the rescue for every card sold.
has anyone had any luck selling original works of art on here? Sorry I am new to this, I only have prints and cards on at the moment.

Welcome Sarah @Sarahflanaganart I have sold over 600 items…not all paintings but most of the sales were art. This week I sold an abstract acrylic painting and a hand painted greetings card.
The secret is never to give up and keep listing. I actually list an item EVERY day…sounds difficult but it really isn’t if you put your mind to it and if you join the daily listing thread you can always show relists. Take part in as many of the forums as you can to get your name known…it takes time…It took me 3 months to get my first sale …I have now been here 11 years… Every time you list something…come on here and show it…and then find as many appropriate threads as you can and show it again…hope that helps

that sounds really good @teabreaks I have sold 8 items so I am pleased with that so far and to be fair Folksy seems to be a very professional platform to show your work and the community seem nice too

I’m still waiting for my first art sale here. I’ve sold some cards and a few original magnets, but haven’t got a proper painting sale yet.
I’m going to celebrate extra hard when I finally get a Folksy sale email that says painting (even if it is just a mini one). I’ve sold some other places online, so I’m hoping it’ll just take a bit more patience as I’ve only been here since October.

Kim @konyskiw it took me months to get my first sale but you are doing all the right things by joining in as much as you do…(well done)…the painting sales on here are slow but it is just that Folksy is mainly UK based and much smaller than other sites…just keep going and don’t give up…
