most crafters and artists have a stash…come on…show your stash…this is just SOME of mine…the paints are layers and layers deep so a lot more than these pictures show…and there are more boxes of watercolour paints in cupboards…I need to live another 200 years to use some of these up…
Show your stash…lol…
.
OMG Brenda @teabreaks, you are a hoarder and no mistake!
I cannot compete with you. My paints, brushes and other materials all fit neatly into a compartmentalised (some might say OCD) craft box and my pads, paper and drawing boards take up one shelf in a cupboard!
Ha ha Chris…it was actually my hubby who was the hoarder and continued to buy me paints when I didn’t need them…so they have piled up and piled up. I think I need to go in the garden and squirt tubes of acrylic on huge canvases…(might sell for thousands!!)
Anyone else out there got a huge stash…wool, jewellery, wood, beads…come on, show your photos, don’t let me feel guilty on my own…
I think I probably have more fabric and wool than a fabric shop but I’m a bit OCD about my workroom and everything is neatly boxed and labelled. I even have appropriately patterned cases for Sring, Summer, Autumn and Winter fabric - the Spring ones have Spring flowers on them, the Summer ones have pink roses, the Autumn ones are covered in foxes and the Winter ones have little robins in Santa hats. All of my trims, buttons etc are also sorted according to season.
Do you think I need medical help? Ha ha
OMG, that is one amazing amount of delightful “stash”. No photo I’m afraid but my stash weakness is ribbon, trims and fabrics. I have a huge box full of ribbons, picked up from gifts, chocolate boxes and bought of course (my local “sells everything” shop has a basket of left over ribbons at excellent prices, it’s dangerous!). Fabrics - I keep every little scrap and have them stored in drawers, boxes and two of the under bed drawers!
Just a few paints then Brenda, love it. They do look nice and neat and tidy though. I haven’t as many but mine look really messy, apart from my new watercolour half pan set, although I’m pretty sure they’ll be just as messy soon.
Love it Martine. @MaisyMuffin …how neat…
My paintings are all catalogued and filed in boxes but the paints?..mmm…no chance. and if I had it nice and neat like your cases, I would go to find something and they would be out all over the floor…lol… @elliestreasures .Elaine…come on…take some photos…we all want to see…
Tina, @DaisyWings I have loads more than I dared to show…ha ha…at least another 6 boxes of whole pans/watercolours…must have about 200 brushes if not more/…Show your mess…come on…
Oh I just love this thread, who needs psychotherapy when you have Folksy Forums. This is some of my silk fabric stash, but it’s just the tip of the iceberg. I also have a furnishing fabric iceberg and a vintage fabric iceberg.
Just love textiles🤗
Where would we be without our Kallax Martine !!! ha ! ha ! seriously cute filing system though
I’m too embarrassed to photograph my yarn stash , it spills in to every room upstairs !!!
oh come on @AliDufty we want to see…I showed you mine, I wanna see your’s…ha ha…I am waiting… @Blackthorpe fab selection of fabrics…
Come on folks…any more?
Erm…where do I start, fabric, patterned papers, seed beads, embroidery thread but most of all…buttons! (and fairly organised too, although I can never find the one I want and end up buying more) I do use all of the above all of the time though for my cards so don’t feel too guilty!
I’ve got 4 boxes full of bottles (and some extra large bottles). They discontinued my favourite paints years ago, and it started to look like the shop I buy from was going to stop selling my current brand too, with the display half full of these and half full of an inferior paint I won’t use. Because of what happened to my last paints, I panic bought and haven’t had to buy a new bottle since the beginning of 2017.
I’m starting to run out of a couple of useful colours now though, so it’ll soon be time to see if the shop have got any left or if I’ll be desperately searching for a replacement. This is when stashes come in handy.
I’ve also got a big cardboard and bubblewrap stash, any useful looking packaging I get is kept for reusing when I send my canvases.
