Hi everyone,

Good afternoon everyone I hope you are all well and that sales have been good whilst I’ve been away. I finally have a chance to try to pay my poor neglected shops a bit of attention at last. It has been a fairly traumatic time since the beginning of the year.
Firstly my lovely baby brother died at the very beginning of January which was very heartbreaking for me, more so because I couldn’t get to his funeral as Brian has been very poorly.
B started off the year with a really bad chest infection which has taken 4 courses of anitbiotics so far and it is still not completely better. Added to that he was feeling really ill and it was discovered that he had problems with his blood. There were far too many white cells, the platelet count was wrong and his red cells were misshapen and very pale. After numerous blood tests, a bone marrow biopsy and long term hospital visits it transpired that he had a form of blood cancer. He has now on a course of chemo in tablet form and has had several blood transfusions and iron infusions, the last one in this course was yesterday. He is feeling better than he was but still very weak and tired. He has gone from going around town at a hundred miles and hour to really plodding very slowly and he gets of breath very quickly especially when walking up and down stairs. He is fast asleep at the moment so thought I’d take the opportunity to come here for a while.
My older brother was also diagnosed with bowel cancer at the beginning of the year. He was operated on and they think they have managed to remove it all but time will tell they say. He is just starting to get back on his feet now, but very slowly. As for me I am now having horrible test for the same area. Needless to say I am not enjoying 2025 at all so far.
Thank you for being Mum this month Caroline @Caroleecrafts
Right enough of my miseries here is my listing for today. It is lovely to be back here hope I can stay for the month. Be back shortly with CfTT.

Afternoon all, it’s good to be back on the thread. It’s been a stressful day so far after our usual chemist seems to have lost hubbies prescription for his blood thinning injections which he needs by Friday…another chemist is trying to get them for him now so fingers crossed they are successful or we will be touring more chemists tomorrow. It was hubby’s first trip out since coming out of hospital so he’s worn out now.
Sorry to hear of the rough time you are having @OswestryJewels.
Thank you Caroline @Caroleecrafts for being mum this month.
My listing today..

Hi Gillian @gillsgems and welcome to the thread. If go to the item you want to add, copy the url for the item and then paste it into the reply box, add a hard return after it and your item should appear here. People have different ways of adding things on here, that’s the way I do it and it works!

Hi again everyone I’m back with CfTT as promised, as long last. It had taken ages to get through everything today and I’d forgotten how to do a lot of the things but I’m hear now.
Thank you for you well wishes for Brian. He’s still asleep in the conservatory, he had a bad night’s sleep last night.
I forgot to say well done Emma @QuirkyOwlStudio how lovely to have your owls calming Belgian children.
Today’s listing is this cable and bobble pattern jumper for a child

Spent most of the day making a replacement kingfisher for the gallery then almost as much time tidying up after myself!! Just back from a lovely walk on the common - its usually too muddy to walk there but was lovely and dry today so made the most of it
