Daily Listing Challenge and Group Promotion thread - November 2024

Afternoon all…over slept this morning and now the day is running out and I haven’t done anything!
I booked my Christmas slot a couple of weeks ago with Sainsbury so just got to remember to edit it nearer the day so I get what I need! Not sure what we will be doing at Christmas as we don’t know if hubby will have started his next lot of chemo…
I have run out of new things to show so just a relist today. I have a few new items on the sewing table to finish so hopefully I’ll have something done for tomorrow.

Congratulations Lynn @erkinwald on 900 sales!

In that case bad Brenda.

A friend in the next village has a yearly contract and every year it is a performance to get a decent slot, if you can access online that is.

Nothing special Mel. I wondered if we were out of touch with current prices.

Congratulations on your milestone Lynn. xx
Why does everything keep going wrong this year? Our boiler’s not working since last night. Waiting for gas man to come and hopefully fix it. So cold inside and outside.

All loved to here. That’s a fantastic milestone Lynn @erkinwald!
I have another new listing, though many of you will have seen lots of my tractors in various forms and colours.

Booked our Waitrose slot weeks ago. The past few years we’ve had their duck parfait for Christmas dinner starters, so nice and it lasts for ages as you only need a bit as it’s so rich. Although I prefer to collect rather than have delivered as I like to pick up a few more bits while there. Turkey is ordered too from a small local butcher who sources his birds from a few local farms. He also makes his own chipolata sausages which are scrumptious for pigs in blankets.
We tend to do our ‘proper big shop’ monthly rather than weekly so I’ve been getting ‘bits’ for a few months now. A bit of a mix of shops, Waitrose, Tesco, Aldi and fruit and veg from a local farm, some meat from the butchers and some from Costco with a delivery from Ocado. I’ve yet to find just one place where I like all their products.

Carol @carolsmalleydesigns …I feel your pain.
I was married for 48 years before hubby died with only rare problems that needed fixing. In the 7 years since then it has been nothing but repairs, gas pipes dangerous and needed replacing and despite having a gas contract with them, they said that it didn’t cover the pipe…two new showers, drains blocked 4 times, water tanks leaking and 7 other electrical faults, fence falling down 3 times, toilets not flushing properly, windows broken…had to also have new patio doors…honestly the list is endless and I am still only just learning to cope with these problems on my own…it’s tough isn’t it…so keep smiling…sending healing hugs xx
Well done Lynn @erkinwald
Louise @thestitchyroom …I had my turkey joint delivered yesterday…sorted x

Just the heads up folks, so none of you gets caught up.
I’ve been receiving quite a few text messages on the phone lately, from various numbers, claiming to be from the Home Office, with a link asking me to fill up a form urgently, so I receive heating allowance or similar. Had two in the space of a couple of minutes between them just now. Don’t click on the link or fill any form please, of course it’s another scam. They change every season now, they will be giving free turkeys next month!

Congratulations on your milestone sales Lynn @erkinwald I will never get to that.
Well done all you people with your delivery supermarket slots booked. We don’t even know where we are going to be at Christmas never mind shopping for it.

Evening all, loved to here. Love the idea of those pellets Cara @FelstedFleece

I have been nose deep in research today for the day job and came across this - Real household disposable income - the single most important measure of living standards is forecast to be down 3.5% this year - the biggest drop in real living standards in the history of the Office for National Statistics since it began in 1950. It also says things are not expected to improve until 2027-28. It’s no wonder people aren’t spending :frowning:

Hi
A bit late today.

Well done on your milestone, Lynn @erkinwald
Glad you got your alarm sorted, Brenda @teabreaks
Well done to those with sales.
Sorry you feel so down Mina @theslothscavern - I hope you carry on. As others have said, it’s very slow at the moment, and hard to keep plugging your things with only the odd sale happening. I’ve been contemplating opening an eBay shop - will do some research and might give it a shot.

Here’s a Christmas card from me today:

Wow the day has run away from me.

It will definitely take some getting used to coming in more often in a day so I don’t have to be doing these 60+ catch up posts.

Hope everyone is doing ok and hugs to everyone that needs them. Tried reading through all posts but barely remember anything but that’s just me recently with my useless brain

Todays post from me more Christmas decorations
